oooooh! THAT'S a pretty pen. :)

It sure is. The nib is really nice too. Today's words are EAVESDROP and ECCENTRICITY. Back to the bathroom humor. Ha!

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

I LOVE this thread - so much so that I now have to get a copy of the Devils Dictionary.

plistumi - absolutely amazing interpretations of the definitions. Thanks!

Fool me once, shame on you.

The journal is a Banditapple carnet. I use the smallest size (pee-wee). The cover is from Renaissance Art (Moleskine Cahier Cover). I got it in rust orange. Here is the link: http://www.renaissan...0/category.aspx

Jasksterp: Glad to know you are enjoying the thread. The book is wonderful. I have learned a lot from it.

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate this holiday). Today's word is EDITOR. I used Private Reserve Sherwood Green Fast Dry (and still managed to smudge it).

Yes. I like smaller notebooks. They feel more "cozy."

Today's words are EDUCATION and EFFECT.

That's just stunning, your work of art. I love The Devil's Dictionary, too, but also IN THE MIDST OF LIFE and other stories. Above all, AN OCCURRENCE AT OWL CREEK BRIDGE.

Yes, it would have been better if I'd written that with a very wide flex pen and a dark red ink.

I hope to see this work published and on bookshelves one day.

Me too! I love this thread!

I love practically mainly inks (still do, I think), others stick to inks plus pens, our friend in Bo Bo raves about ink:pen:paper in a 1:1:1 ratio but I now see that nothing can top this type of art. It's not so much all the properties of everything but what you can actually create with these....

Doh...

Exactly.

Bears repeating. In different words. Sum total greater than the parts.

Life has taken over, but I am back. I have been holidazed. Will be for a while, but I will try to keep up. Today's words are EJECTION and ELECTOR. They were written with a Bexley Americana and Noodler's Liberty's Elysium. I think I am going to ask a nibmeister grind the nib to a fine or medium, I find it a little too broad for my taste.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I really have enjoyed using pens, inks and paper. It is fun! This has been the best excuse do to so! A few days back an acquaintance suggested I contact the author's foundation. I might if I ever gather enough courage to do so.

  • 3 weeks later...

Really missing your posts, I hope you're back with more soon....

BTW, Liberty's Elysium is a stunning ink.

+1 on both sentiments!

I've been just loving this thread. And I had forgotten just how much I like LE as an ink.

Thanks for treating us to your amazing work!

Newjelan and Inkstaindruth, I am almost back. Thank you for the encouragement. We must celebrate the New Year and the the Epiphany (Dia de Reyes), then... back to the old grind.

Anyways, I had some spare time for EGOTIST. Enjoy. And belated Merry Chrismahanukwaanzikah to all. Have a Happy New Year!

Hi there. Wishing you all a Happy New Year! This is my last post of 2012. ELYSIUM. The ink is Noodler's Liberty Elysium (that was NOT intended, ha!). Sorry for the bad picture, I do not have access to my scanner.

Hope you are all recovering from the New Year's Eve "virus." Mine was not too bad, went to to bed at 3am and woke up at 10am. There was only about 1lb of confetti in my hair. Today's word is ELOQUENCE:

Today's word is EMANCIPATION. I ended spending hours reading about the history of slavery, involuntary servitude and peonage in the United States. It was heartwrenching.
