Devil's Dictionary

Can't wait to see the video. Today I am putting up two more words. The ink is Noodler's Bad Green Gator, and, boy does it live up to its name. It is a very wet ink and it managed to soak through (not bleed through) the pages. Wow! It is meant to be used to signing checks and it is great for that. Nice color.

Here are DAY and DEAD:

Today's word is DEBT. I keep going back to the orange tiger stripes pen with the Iroshizuku Yu-yake. I am really enjoying that pen!

Great, plistumi!

Even more astonishing and brilliant than you writing and artwork is your ability to do it in a notebook. I can't even figure out how to approach the notebook I have. I hate writing in it and will never buy another. I'll stick with loose-leaf paper and a ring binder.

DEBAUCHEE is today's word. Boy, my inspiration was lacking. It took me a couple days for it to "brew" and then "pass out" from my brain to the paper. He he. Puns intended. Urinals and beer...

It is not too bad, especially using the little Banditapple notebook because it is so thin (that is the blank paper). The last pages of the Leuchtturm notebook (the dot grid one) are perforated. Those are annoying me.

Watch Art, I am glad you found the "debauchee" funny. Hee hee.

Today's word is DECALOGUE. I am enjoying that fake broken Nakaya. And boy can it write small (or maybe it is I who can write small with the pen, ha!). Ethernautrix gave me the ink in a cartridge she had at the SF Pen Show. The cartridge has a little ball in it and I can hear it. It feels like I have a little spray paint bottle with a fountain pen nib in my hand. Look at the flag I sport, it's the Puerto Rican flag. The combination of Puerto Rican and spray paint is dangerous. I am off to write on the walls!!!

These pages are a delight to read and look at the art also. Well done Plistumi!

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

As to telling a person something is not possible, I have mixed feelings about that. It may save some people from grief, but it might encourage others to still pursue their dream.

Yep. I had an aunt who decided to become a doctor at age 46. She did, too, practicing well into her 80s.

I jes wanted to tell you, regardless of what you are or what you think you are, your drawings are freakin' brilliant and one thing is certain: you definitely enjoy putting some ink on paper!

Thank you for sharing.

Notbob. As you say, I do enjoy "putting ink to paper." Keeps me out of trouble. ;-)

I have two more words for today: DEFAME and DEFENCELESS.

Looking good, nice ink blend too

Thanks! Here is more: DEGENERATE. This one was hard to draw... Well, the idea was slow to come. Maybe some neurons are degenerating.

Your drawings... M., you motivated me to draw more, which I have been, same rectangles and parallelograms. Eventually, I'll make the foray to other shapes. I even tried various inks in very quick and tiny "drawrings" in my notebooks, just to use other-than-black. :-)

I do love drawring with my Nakayas, though. I want to learn how to draw those patterns that I glimpsed in your notebook -- not the exact patterns, but I want to learn how you did it. So cool!

Oh yeah, the little ball is in the Platinum cartridges; it keeps the ink flowing, keeps it from getting stuck at the butt-end of the cartridge. It's why I prefer refilling the cartridges rather than using the converter.

I used to LOVE Pentel Ceramicrons, which were (I'd say) a version of technical pens, and I do hold my pens at a high angle, so this technique looks very promising. It'd be funny if I stopped using my Nakayas in favor of the much less costly Koh-i-noors, ha ha ha gasp!

Hmm...

Oh yeah (took a look inside at the Amazon link), looks very promising. Thank you, Shawn!

If you do a search for zentangle, you will find a lot of patterns. Another good starting point is http://tanglepatterns.com/.

Today's words are: DEGRADATION and DEINOTHERIUM. Enjoy! I had a good time drawing Peter. Can you find him?
