Sailor Sapporo, Zoom Nib

I picked up another Sapporo Mini with a Zoom nib. It should be delivered tomorrow and I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to the other Sailor nibs I have. Great photos and a very nice review.

I love the Saporro and the regular nibs. My zoom nib however is not so smooth and was a great disappointment

That is a bummer :( I am interested in picking up another Sapporo, hopefully with a fine or extra-fine point; if I ever do get one I'll definitely do a comparison of the two.

Excellent review. Drooling...

That is what happened to me! There are so many great reviews here for fantastic pens :)

Currently using:Too many pens inked to list, I must cut back! :) I can guarantee there are flighters, urushi, and/or Sheaffer Vac-fillers in the mix!!!

That is one good looking pen... Nice and sober design. Great review, thanks!

this may be sacrilege to zoom nib enthusiasts, but i just found the zoom nib on my sailor professional gear too wet (and the broad line itself too plain) that i reground that huge blob of tipping on the nib into a broad stub, and achieved a bit of flex along the way. goes nicely with diamine oxblood.

(i should add that i'm no nibmeister and might have this all wrong and don't recommend this to anyone else, but i like the results anyway ;)

Thanks for the review!

I slightly prefer the shape of the 1911, the Sapporo looks really nice too, especially with the rhodium!
