Gfeller Casemakers Moleskine Cover With A Twist

I use the cahier type Moleskine journals for my job, but I have a particular need to use two of them at the same time (mostly for different projects) where I need to keep information separate but must have it with me at all times.

I contacted Steve from Gfeller Casemakers and explained to him that I needed a cover that could hold two large cahier Moleskine notebooks. He told me that he understood what I was going for and that he could make it. Since I use a Pilot Fermo all of the time, I asked for pen loops to both keep the pen safe and close the cover.

Voilà, the results...

I’m extremely pleased with his work and I wanted to share with you all in case you may have the same need. Note that I’m not affiliated with Gfeller other than being a satisfied customer.

That is a fabulous cover. I like that it holds two cahiers and closes with a pen. Very cool.

I wonder if I can fit two cahiers into the normal Gfeller cahier case, kind of like a Traveler's Journal -- just slip the front cover of the front book in the front, and the back cover of the back book in the back. Maybe I could slip a thin elastic band around the spine to hold the middle of each one?

I must say that I'm extremely pleased with this cover. I've been using it for almost 1 year and every time I pull it out in meetings, I get the OH AH OH AH expressions. A few people have asked me if they could hold it and you should see them rubbing it !!! Quite funny... The pen loop closures is what most people comment on. It doesn't have the patina that I would expect, but since it lives in my bag or on a desk it doesn't get the exposure it would need.
