I have this exact same pen, Hari. I can understand why you wanted to get another!

At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the "B" (broad) nib. But I have so many extra fine and fine nibbed pens, I figured why not have a little variety. It's buttery smooth. And you know, there is something about the urushi lacquer coating over the ebonite. It feels great. You look at the pen and think "OK, black plastic pen" but it sure doesn't feel like that. I have a black Montblanc 74, a fine pen in its own right, but wow... I can tell the difference when holding one after the other. The Montblanc sees work only because it has a nice OB nib, otherwise if it was just a B nib it would be gathering dust. :roflmho:

Great photos, particularly the one showing the trio of Izumo, 845 & 149.

I bought this pen a few months ago. Wow! What a pen? Great Nib in M.

Being an old user( 10+ yrs) of Mont Blanc M nibs & Sailor's incomparable

F nibs, at first I did not much like the in-between nib of this Pilot

Custom 845 in M. But gradually it has captured me.

Now it's either Sailor H-F or Pilot Custom 845. Others, like Omas 360,

Duofold, Platinum 3776, MB Starwalker & 144, Olympio, Pelikan m600,

Sheaffer Legacy etc. just wait.

Hello Hari,

How do know how much custom duty you have to pay and how do you pay them. I have a few inks & a pen to purchase from Engeika's ebay store. What I wonder custom duty and I don't find any information around on it.

It will be very helpful if you kindly share your experience.

The duty on pens is roughly 35% on the assessed value. Whether your package is checked or not depends on your luck. The duties if any will be collected from you by the postman or alternatively you will receive a summon letter from customs. HTH.

In that case I am not sure you should take the risk of importing more items. anyway all this discussion is irrelevant to the 845. feel free to continue this conversation back channel over email. you can email me through my profile.
