When I saw your ink book, my first thought was "I want to live next door to her!"

Now that I read about your caboose, I'm frantically packing for the move!!

What a lucky gal you are!

So, when are you moving in? One of the houses on my block is up for sale. The last one sold about 20+ years ago. It's at the other end so we can put another rail road car in ... maybe an engine? roflmho.gif

This is a photo - not a scan. I will be sure to take scans once I cut the sheet down for the experiment. This paper is Strathmore Drawing Pad Medium 18" x 24".

After water wash. (Sorry that the photo is fuzzy. The scans will not be of the entire page, but will be clear).

All of these pens/inks are on my desk and have been in use the past two weeks.

The Goulet Family at Goulet Penshas offered to send a few samples for our experiments if we do not already have the color. Any suggestions?

Not really. I am down to just the blues & blue blacks to do and I am on page 4 of inks. I don't know if I will get the rice paper done or not. It really does take me a while to do these things with the glass pen. If anything, I am getting better at using the glass pen! :)

I have included bottled ink and various samples from Goulet already. The only one that won't get on there is the new Mont Blanc blue ink because it won't arrive here until sometime Tuesday. If I don't get it to the Post Office by Tuesday, it won't get to you by Thursday.

Brands include: Mont Blanc, Levenger, J. Herbin, Pilot Iroshizuku, Namiki, Noodler's, Diamine, De Atramentis, Platinum, Rohrer & Kligner, Private Reserve, Parker, Waterman, Aurora

Gee, that's a lot of ink!!! :roflmho:

It's been so fun to see all of these different sample sheets in one place! This is going to be so interesting - thanks so much for doing this! :clap1:

I'm in very sunny San Antonio, and I think I'm going to do a sympathetic experiment. I'm going to write samples of all of my "tough" inks that I tend to rely on a lot (you know, the "permanent" ones), and then put them out in the back yard in full sun. I have places in my yard that get full sun essentially from sunrise to sunset, and it doesn't rain that often, but when it does, it tends to be really hard.

I'll start the same day as you (June 20). I shall call it the Mad Max Ink Deathmatch 2012. :ninja:

(Off to find my dip pen and start writing samples...)

(edit for typo)

OOH, wait, I have some partial samples I can send to you ---- meaning that some of mine are full pages and I've divided them into portions.

Sure thing! I was planning to tack them to an outdoor table out on the yard. I should have some additional room.

I'll PM you my address. :D
