This ink looks a lot like Herbin's Bleu Nuite. Anyone have both who can compare them?

Hi,

You're welcome! :happyberet:

There's also a wee comparo of Diamine's Denim : Indigo : Prussian Blue LINK

I believe the decks are awash with inky goodness (except for Indigo).

Prussian Blue isn't anywhere close to Denim in intensity, but I do agree it seems to be in the same color family.

Yes, very similar. I've found Prussian Blue in a wet is very close to Denim in a dry pen, but just a shade more green in the Prussian Blue to my eye, albeit very slight.

I love my Diamine Denim. The color and flow are just perfect for my daily personal and business writing. This ink makes the somewhat scratchy nib to be one of those nibs which give you just a right amount of feedback.

Just a quick comparison on the Goulet Pens website told me that Diamine's Denim is very close to the new LE by Rohrer and Klinger, Blau Schwarz. Anybody done a comparison up close and personal??

Denim is a great workhorse ink. It is better behaved than the Sargasso Sea too.

I'm loving Denim too - definitely my favourite blue for regular use!

I've just put some into an old Conway Stewart 58 and it looks really classy.

My first attempt at "Denim" was in a dry Lamy Safari. I was not impressed: pale, lacking in character, wishy-washy. "Ah well, it's only the 30 ml bottle", I said to myself.

But well knowing by now that the Safaris very much are merely a first opinion, I brought in the Waterman Carene, medium nib. And "Denim" rocketed to the top of the list: gravitas and pondus, quality, seriousness and character. It has become an ink for only the very best of pens, along with Diamine "Blue/Black", and perhaps "Midnight" and Cult Pens "Deep Dark Blue" and "Deep Dark Green". And the Registrar's Inks.

It's the 80 ml bottle next time.

Denim is definitely one of my favorite edc inks.

Suitable for official use, yet packs a lot of subtlety.

Prussian Blue comes a close second to this one.
