Thanks for a great review. I have been using this in a Lamy Safari with a medium nib; it's a great colour. Aubergine certainly springs to mind. I prefer it to Imperial Purple which I also purchased. Grape has more reddish undertones and is more dusky, whereas Imperial Purple is just a standard purple with no overriding red and blue tones. Grape is definitely a winner for me
