Diamine Grape

Here is sneak preview No 3 - This ranks as among my favourite Diamines, along with Denim, and Misty Blue - to be reviewed here shortly. This ink is a real cracker if you like PR Eb Purple. (As usual, my scanner seems to show inks a tad lighter than they are to the naked eye) Unlike Eb Purple however, it don't stink, which is great for those sensitive noses.

 

Since preparing the scans for uploading, I've realised there's more shading than I first thought; it is subtle, as you'd expect from a dark ink colour, but it is there.

Alexander, Grape is not quite as 'blacketty' dark as Eclipse, and has a more, well, black-grapey-purple look. (See? I can get quite technical :roflmho: ) It is a very beautiful colour. If you look at the word 'Kaweco' on my form, that is probably most accurately represented for depth of colour - at least on my monitor!

 

I am in love with this one, and also Misty Blue. (Coming up)

Very interesting ink. I have Diamine Eclipse and I only like it my drier writing pens. In other pens it is very hard to distinguish from black.

This ink I am definitely going to try.

Jealous you got this one already! It's been on my to-buy list since it was announced. Question: I already have MB Violet. Would you say this similar but with less red? It seems that way from your scan.

dcpritch - I believe it will be available to mortals from 1st June.

 

radellaf - it is much darker than CdA Storm, don't have any deA inks (to my utter shame) sorry

 

IWantThat - it is quite similar to MB Violet, with less red, as you suggest, but it is more saturated. Akin to US inks in terms of saturation, I think. I am besotted with it.

 

Those of us living in the UK have really struggled to get a good range of inks, until Diamine came to our aid! Thanks Diamine (no affil, just very happy inky fingers)
