That warning was hilarious. And totally not what I expected...

That being said, wonderful writing all around. How fast do you write with the flex copperplate style, do you think? (I'm just curious as to your speed)

It seems weird how upright your cursive is, sometimes; but I do like it! Thanks for the information about the speed. I'll have to find some time to practice with my flex nibs more. (Don't have a flexy fountain pen, but I do have some dip nibs and stuff)

Not even close to what's printed above, but anyway...

Materials: for the non-flex: Lamy safari F nib (With widened feeder slits) with visconti green). For the flex: Vintage conklin used as a dip pen.

Blown away by this thread! I feel the need to post some writing of my own, but everything of note (and most of my ink) is at my uni residence.. Until such a time when I can get to them, here's something I did a while back. Done with my Lamy Joy.

As Ken stole it from Tom Lehrer, with a modification of the age. :ltcapd:

Full quote, speaking of Alma Mahler Gropius Werfel: "It's people like that who make you realize how little you've accomplished. It is a sobering thought, for example, that when Mozart was my age he had been dead for two years."

Thanks for crediting Tom Lehrer with the original quote. I'd no idea where it came from. The version I saw was different. I just assumed that everyone just added their own details to make it work, personally!!

What is this one? I can't make it out. Nice flex script. Very inspiring! Is this the Parker Vacumatic?

3rd quarter 1938 Slender Parker Challenger with a mediumish-fine semi-flex, in grey marble....how's that?
