What is this one? I can't make it out. Nice flex script. Very inspiring! Is this the Parker Vacumatic?

3rd quarter 1938 Slender Parker Challenger with a mediumish-fine semi-flex, in grey marble....how's that?

That be beautiful! If you ever get tired of it, I can help take it off your hands. LOL!

You're really good, GClef. I dig checking out your flexy writing, bro!

Okay, Noobies !

This is what it looks like to have fountain pens, and joy, and a little

madness in your life.

May we never recover.

Okay. Let's all go outside and get some sun and fresh air.

Auf freiem Grund mit freiem Volke stehn.
Zum Augenblicke dürft ich sagen:
Verweile doch, du bist so schön !

GClef-

What kind of paper are you using? Sorry if you already mentioned- I only saw the pen and ink types.

Staples wide rule notepad. I place a sheet of blank copy paper under the sheet I'm writing on, in case it bleeds through, I dont ruin the next sheet.

Wow- That's impressive for a cheaper paper. A lot of the standard notebook paper I've tried tends to bleed and feather like crazy. Whenever I try a flex or dip pen the letters look nice until the ink finishes soaking in and all I'm left with is a fuzzy blob! I have some clairfontaine, but I struggle using such nice paper for practice... Ill have to pick up some of the Staples. Thanks for the reply, and very nice work!

This is the reason I don't like flex nibs that spew tons of ink. I try to adjust mine to be drier. If I can't, I don't use it on paper that bleeds.

I also check to make sure the tines are aligned, scratchy nibs tend to break the fibers apart and feather and bleed all over the dang place.

This thread of yours got me going.... Here is my attempt at doing some "written work" these are scans that I did in super duper hurry with my old scanner... And then quickly ran Auto Levels on photoshop when I saw the results from my scanner...

Please bear the colors for a while...

kudos to you - "Gclef" for the excellent work (art actually :notworthy1: ) that you have shown us all

Now I am looking forward to getting a full flex vintage pen and a nice stub/italic nibbed modern pen...
