Thanks for the vid.

The assassinated President Garfield, could write Greek with one hand, Latin with the other simultaneously.

Using a dip pen!!!!!

And now, all the average politician can do is talk out of both sides of his mouth.

The liberty of the press is indeed essential to the nature of a free state; but this consists in laying no previous restraints upon publications, and not in freedom from censure for criminal matter when published. Every freeman has an undoubted right to lay what sentiments he pleases before the public; to forbid this, is to destroy the freedom of the press; but if he publishes what is improper, mischievous or illegal, he must take the consequence of his own temerity. Isn't it nice to stop ink-shouting? It's all so Sam Ramey.

Of late I've become increasingly fond of the stiffer nibs, even in my oblique holders.

Ahab will give you Popeye fingers...from all that 'rowing'.

But it does beat springing a more valuable nib when learning.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

My flex skills suck... But holy moly do I looooooove flex! As for practicality, semi-flex is the most viable for day-to-day stuffs IMO. :)

No kidding right? He really commands a premium. I think part of it is just the artistry of the auctions themselves. Did you read my flex thread I posted recently?

Never, no such thing as too much flex. Crappy paper exists in huge quantities though.

I've seen you posting this pic in several threads today. What is it referring too?

Re: Nibs, I've been getting more and more interested in oblique nibs. I've always held writing instruments at a slightly different angle than normal, which was one of the reasons I stuck with pencils mostly. With my FPs that's even more pronounced. I've currently got some oblique Esterbrook oblique nibs on order (along with some Esterbrooks, and Shaeffers, and two Wearevers, and a few random throw-ins...I spent a silly amount of money on eBay this weekend. And now I need an ultrasonic cleaner and a pen-box... )
