So I wasn't imagining things! Thanks for the info, Strawberry Jam.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Maybe the tipping was cut off a nib to make it an italic. Or it was born an italic without tipping; many of them are.

I am no longer very active on FPN but feel free to message me. Or send me a postal letter!

Well said.

I don't agree, flex writing is not harder and not less practical if you are used to it and you always have the option not to use its flex (2 in 1).

I partially agree with the last one, some times it's more expensive, depending on the price range of your pens.

But this is not the fault of flex pens, it's the fault of missing products of the manufacturers.

Looks like the tipping broke off. I've had that happen. I had smoothed out an Indian eyedropper pen to use here at the house and the next time..... ugh!

Those dang-nab ringless elven pens! They're like writing with a stick, or an Ent finger. Hope your Amazon purchase makes all things right.

K'mon, lets say the truth, flexies do not exist if you have to exert minimal pressure in them in order to write with a decent variation line, but ok maybe somewhere

over the rainbow there is a magical flexie nib that gives variation line even without touching the paper and just droping ink. I am realistic and deposit my confidence

in italics.

Stick with it. I just recently returned to using an edged pen, after a couple of years of using flexible pens almost exclusively. I was pleasantly surprised that after a few days reacclimating to the edge (plus it was new pen), I could change pens and styles almost instantly.

The liberty of the press is indeed essential to the nature of a free state; but this consists in laying no previous restraints upon publications, and not in freedom from censure for criminal matter when published. Every freeman has an undoubted right to lay what sentiments he pleases before the public; to forbid this, is to destroy the freedom of the press; but if he publishes what is improper, mischievous or illegal, he must take the consequence of his own temerity. Sounds more like a "rumor/gossip" to me.
