Nemosine Singularity

Osmaroid

Recommended Posts

Well, I just made an impulse purchase because I stay up much too late. At the Nemosine site, I ordered the Coral Singularity, a #6 0.6mm stub nib, and a bottle of Alpha Centauri ink. The nib cost more than the pen since the pen was on closeout. The pen only had F and M as nib choices, and I have wanted to try the 0.6mm stub.

I noticed Nemosine is not listed in the Brands at gouletpens.com.

Nemosine are replacing the plastic Singularity with an aluminum version. I'm not sure when it will come out - certainly not before the last quarter of this year. If the pen is the same otherwise, just made of aluminum, I may well buy one - I really like the shape of the Singularity.

Goulet only carried the Singularity (none of the other models), which is probably why the brand doesn't appear right now - they ran out of stock. Hopefully they'll carry the new aluminum Singularity when it comes out.

Thanks Liz. Glad to know the Singularity isn’t abandoned. I have two of them, both demonstrators, the aqua and the clear with rose gold details.

Hurray it beat the Saturday estimate and arrived today. The Coral version is quite pretty in the light. It’s my first opaque Singularity. I checked my aqua and clear and no cracks.

The nib was shipping in a cute tiny plastic cylinder with a hinged lid.

I own more than a few pens that I paid much, much more for, ------ but I do NOT have one that is a better "writer!" Amazing pen! I would enjoy reading about the company that makes these pens, about how they came to be able to make such a great pen for such a low price. They might have even lost some business from people thinking ---- "A low cost pen like that just can not be a great writer!"

If you know anything about the maker, please clue me in on this site.

I don’t know much either except Josh at Nemosine is super nice in email exchanges. He is a space geek. If you check contact information you will learn Nemosine and Birmingham Pens have the same mailing address.

Somewhere on this site I thought I read it was family running the two. The about page on Nemosine gives some details on how they make the pens and parts that are sourced.
