I thought Music nibs had 2 slits on the nib?

That's a Platinum style music nib. Sailor only has the regular slit on their music nib.

Ivan, we must have answered at the same moment. I've owned several different music nibs - they all have a different feel and the only way one can really know what he likes is to try them out.

I had been researching the Sailor Music nib and your writing sample has me hooked. What line width do you figure you are getting?

Same here! I really enjoy these samples with the Sailor Music nib.

The stock music is a little round as compared to custom stubs or italics - I think that writing with it feels slightly ... muddled? It is a very nice nib to use, and as you can see, provides nice line variation, just not to the degree I'm used to.

Now if you really want an amazing nib, I have a Sailor 1911 Large with a music nib that Mike Masuyama ground into a stub - absolute perfection! I haven't inked it for a while but now that I think about it I will soon.

I see. It is perhaps not for me, then: I prefer even my cursive italics to be a bit crisper, e.g. Mr. Richard Binder's CIs. I have yet to get my hands on a pen on a CI nib from Mr. Masuyama, so I confess myself intrigued as to how one such nib would compare. At any rate, thank you very much for taking the time to give the description and my good wishes for your journey with your wife, Sir :P

That's an awesome mix of the old (fountain pen) and the new (LOLCat language). I love your script, too!

Thank you, and I adore the cleanliness of yours. And oui, the juxtaposition is oddly fun. I suppose it is nice to remember every now and then that even though I (like many others here) live in a world where letters are yet written with fountain or dip pens and sealed with wax, I am nevertheless part of this world as well:

Why two computer screens? Because multitasking is efficient. And also:

I am sure not everyone here understands the above, but ah well. As for those who do, I have a feeling they just now said "lol, whut".

dcpritch, your pens and photos and pen/ink combos are always stunning (and lovingly thought out), but this one really took my breath away. WOW.

Hmmm...that's so romantic that you're getting away for Valentine's

The converter seems to hold about the same as a cartridge which is good for me since I change out inks a lot. It entertains my ink ADD. :) I have not measured it exactly though. I need to do that, someone else asked me the same thing on Instagram.

You must first load them onto Photobucket or Flickr in order to get them on here. There is a way to upload direct on here but I still have not managed to figure it out!

Wow, it's been way too long since my last post. It took a good amount of time just to read all the intervening posts. It was worth it, of course, to see the pens and penmanship on display. I picked up a few new pens (below), and I'll be sticking my currently-owned pens for a while as my wallet recovers.

Kyouju - I'm jealous that your computer can handle those games. It's been a while since I got a new computer, and when I tried to play The Witcher 2, it looked like a slideshow rather than a video game.

As always, sorry for the blurry pictures.

If you know the process to upload from your pc perhaps the only problem is resize your photos to less than 999kby

in photoshop or other image editor.
