Is everyone else loving the "Battle of the Hands" going on here?!

Great pens and ink, but especially wonderful writing, you two. Thanks.

Kyouju-san, just comercial accesible ink brands, around here (120 km, Monclova office depot at south and Eagle Pass stationery at north) but if I am in the mood I will buy some ink at Isell pens with Todd or Teri in Peyton... Greetings.

Somtimes these old pens speak to me... they tell me to draw... so I do. :happyberet:

Love those old Parkers...

Couldn't sleep last night, so I doodled and sketched... and inked up a 51?

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

Is this the stock music nib from Sailor, dcpritch? I keep hesitating over purchasing one because I fear it shall be too round for me. How does it feel to you for italic writing?

This overhead shot is fantastic. I like your drawings a lot. I wonder you like the 51 for drawing.

The stock music is a little round as compared to custom stubs or italics - I think that writing with it feels slightly ... muddled? It is a very nice nib to use, and as you can see, provides nice line variation, just not to the degree I'm used to.

Now if you really want an amazing nib, I have a Sailor 1911 Large with a music nib that Mike Masuyama ground into a stub - absolute perfection! I haven't inked it for a while but now that I think about it I will soon.

I thought Music nibs had 2 slits on the nib?

Most do, but the Sailor music nib has only one slit. There are a few good threads here comparing different music nibs:

http://www.fountainp...-nibs-compared/

http://www.fountainp...nib-comparison/

http://www.fountainp...and-music-nibs/

http://www.fountainp...or-vs-platinum/

I'm sure there are others, but I found these right away doing a quick search.

By the way, for those interested, this Advanced Google Search is the best way I know to find things on FPN, far better than using the "Search" button at the top right of each FPN page.

That's a Platinum style music nib. Sailor only has the regular slit on their music nib.

Ivan, we must have answered at the same moment. I've owned several different music nibs - they all have a different feel and the only way one can really know what he likes is to try them out.
