I watch this thread pretty closely and find it informative and fascinating if a little intimidating (all that beautiful writing and stunning pens).

Today I am attaching some ages of the pens I have in use today....

Apologies in advance for the quality of the pics. They were taken in poor light with my iPad as my camera is in my holiday house. headsmack.gif

dcpritch: such AWESOME stub samples. Now that I am trying to learn how to write with a stub, I am deeply impressed!

Uncle Red: I love that pen case! And I blame you for my recent order of a Plumix :eureka:

Newjelan: Excellent examples of writing with a music nib. How does it compare to a stub or italic?

bdk: How do you like the EF Palladium nib? That's my next "dream pen." Can you tell us more about how it writes? Is it the same nib as the Homo Sapiens?

Uncle Red that case looks very luxurious....I love the rich colour.

Rob Maguire (Plse call me "M or Mags" like my friends do...)I use a Tablet, Apple Pencil and a fountain pen. Targas, Sailor, MB, Visconti, Aurora, vintage Parkers, all wonderful.

Thanks akustyk, you've made my day! I'm left-handed and am trying to improve my daily handwriting, of which the above pics. are examples.

I love the Music nib for everyday writing because although the varied line widths aren't as defined, it provides some definition, is easy to use and smooth as silk. I like Italic and stub nibs very much but find my writing is less consistent when I use them - ie some is OK and some of it is awful. I think as a left-hander it takes me longer to learn to consistently hold the pen with the nib at the correct angle and the Music nib is more forgiving.

Beautiful case Uncle Red especially with the little silver "deadly weapon" on the edge.

Uncle Red,

Yes the Delta is facetted. What I really wanted was a Montegrappa deco in silver but the price was a bit high.

Then I saw Delta's were discounted to half price by GBA pens. I thought I was buying a sterling silver pen with resin trim, very much like the Montegrappa.

When I got it I realised my mistake and had bought resin pen with silver trim, but I still love the pen and have since gone on to buy a Montegrappa Espressione which is also resin with silver trim. (but sadly not facetted.) I have also bought my wife a sterling silver Delta rollerball so we do have one silver facetted pen to use when signing in to an Art Deco hotel.

I know metal sections aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love them.
