Hi everyone! Lots of great pens and writing here.

I've been out of the loop for a while - sorry for the absence - but I've been keeping an eye on all the great posts. And yes, Manny, I've seen every single post on this magnificent thread!

I must admit I have been wanting a 2000 for a long while, but that BB nib is AWESOME....

SJH:

Can you identify the ink used to write "I [heart] my H2O [male symbol]" in post #1784 above?

At least as it is appearing on my monitor I really like that color!

:Jay

Hi Jay, thanks for the post.

It's Diamine Syrah, on both sheets of paper. I tend to only use this olde English ink in the 52.

The writing on the second paper looks darker, just because it's running very low and evaporation has made the remaining ink more concentrated. I find it to be well behaved, and it just suits an oldish American fountain pen.

Best regards,

Steve.

Where did you get the leather cover for this notebook?

It looks like the leather maker is back on Etsy. This would be the cover I have but I requested mine in black: http://www.etsy.com/listing/122342733/beastly-basic-field-notes-cahier-leather?

I am not sure if he still takes requests and he has increased the price a bit.

You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should've behaved better. ~ Anne Lamott (This is where I tell my stories.)

Wonderful writing coming from everyone here - and amazing pens too!

I forgot to say in this pic that the ink is MB Oyster Grey! Enjoy!

Hello to all FPNers!

Having lurked here for ages, I decided to try my hand at posting something. It is wonderful to see all the pens, inks and writing samples. Thank you! Apologies for the poor photography amongst other things. Perhaps one day I'll manage to learn how to get a decent pen photo! One of the pens I'm using at the moment is shown here (I hope!)
