Don't Just Tell Us About The Pen You're Using, *show* Us!

I am blown away by the new ebonite Konrad. It's my first ebonite pen and it feels wonderful. It writes very, very well, out-of-the-box, which had never happened with any other Noodler's pens I've tried.

Uncle Red, that looks like an amazing nib on your new Waterman. Is it a stub?!

Stompie, I'm cleaning out all my pens this afternoon and starting fresh for the new year. Don't yet know what I'll ink. I've never had 18 pens inked at once, though I've been close - its too much to manage!

I love the way Osmia grooved the barrel just above the section threads, for extra grip. A subtle detail I've not seen on any other pen.

And the nib - ooh la la!

Having such a great experience with the Ebonite Kondrad, I reached for my old Noodler's flex pen. Before I got the Ebonite Konrad, I considered this pen the best writer in my collection of Noodler's pens.

I am waiting on a new Vanishing Point from Richard Binder, but I missed the Christmas delivery cutoff. Hopefully that arrives in the next couple of weeks. It will be my first Binder nib, so I'm looking forward to it.

Below are a couple of pens I picked up recently. The ebonite Konrad performs a lot better than the two regular Konrads I have. I was surprised by the amount of the difference, actually. That pen needed no adjustment out of the box either. Looks like I am having the same experience as you akustyk.

The Lami Safari was inspired by the stub nibs that show up in this thread so much. I figured I would give it a try, but I wanted to start on the cheaper end of the spectrum. So far, I like it, which probably is not good for my wallet.

Uncle Red and DCPritch, great pens. You guys always bring your a-game.

Stompie, I did not think it was possible, but you have me beat in the number-of-pens-inked category. I only have 17 right now, and they are all over the place in terms of size/shape/nibs.

saskia-madding, that looks like a great pen. I did not realize any MB's unscrewed like that. The ink looks interesting too.

At the risk of being labeled crazy, I pulled together all the pens I have inked right now and took a quick picture with my phone. Sorry for the crummy photo quality. A fun fact about the one of the pens below: that Preppy ED has been inked for about 5 months. It came with the bottle of ink, I filled it, and that fine nib just doesn't use up the ink very fast.

Perhaps I shouldn't disclose this, but aside from the first three pens (which are always inked), the rest are arranged based on when I inked them up.

Not a terribly pretty picture, my cell phone didn't seem to want to pick up on very much of the light. Sorry for the terrible cursive. Believe it or not, it's gotten a lot better of the course of the last few months.

Thanks for the welcome, Uncle Red.

Thank you, Audit This. My photography skills are wanting, but yes, it is a lovely pen to look at (and equally lovely to use).

bon chic bon genre
