Saskia, Where did you get a 823 with the stub nib? :puddle: I bet that would sell like hotcakes here in the States.

Love the ink colors, the Hitchcock looks great.

My namiki falcon, twsbi540 and my kaweco classic sport

have a noodlers Konrad and ahab on the way with some additional inks. Also found that my wife got me a sampler set with some vintage bottles for Xmas....score!! So I'll have a lot of testing to do, as well as learning how to clean the pens out/flush them

Signature left blank per new rules...

Waaah! So many great pens and inks and writing samples !!! And new folks !!!

I love it, and missed enough days I can scarcely begin to comment, but I will say congrats to secant on that new Pelikan from Christof, and Manny you never cease to astound me with your writing, and Saskia Madding I think that your Mann is lovely, but the Custom 823 intrigues me most.

I just want to warn everyone that the SU nib is not a very dramatic stub. In fact, not even all seasoned fountain pen people notice when they just read my writing. I think it gives just enough variation to lend my writing a slight pizzazz, but it isn't nearly as dramatic as the stub nibs dpritch tends to favour!

If you want something with more of a WOW factor, I'd suggested getting the B nib and having it stubbed by a professional nibmeister.

Olivier, great pen with fun flex!

Stompie, I think you've hit on something with that combo. It looks good from here. I find that hooded and semi-hooded nibs - especially when it is a stub - take some getting used to; with stubs it is hard to stay on the flat part of the nib because there isn't the rest of the nib there to give you a reference point.

Also, Oliver: that's amazing looking pen.
