You two have such amazing handwriting. I know it will take time, practice, and patience for me to get anywhere near there, but those are the essences of why I wanted to start using FPs. As well as improving my handwriting to your skill levels!!

Thank you so much!!

It means a lot to the two of us as, when we turned 10 (last year) we challenged each other to improve our writing before we became teenagers, so this is very encouraging!

The Waterman with the Golden Brown Uncle Red?

If so, 92 is what is on the base.

I did not know it had significance?

Stompie, at the age of 10 I was pretty excited about Christmas - I bet you are jumping up and down about it. Will Santa bring you anything?

HA, HA, HA, HA, HA! Stompie, remember Father Christmas doesn't bring gifts to boys who tease their friends.

Yes, I meant the Waterman with the Golden Brown. So it's a model 92, that's a mid thirties model. Nice pen and a great nib.

DC, I like the Sheaffer. Is the Swan a slip cap?

No, it's a screw-on cap without clip. And the lever is black hard rubber, something occasionally seen on Swans of that vintage. Its a thin pen, but very light, and a nice writer.

dpritch - that Minuskin tucky is amazing! I'm still waiting on a tucky nib that fits for customization. :) Now the wait is even more painful!!

Ooh, you will have to show some pictures. Greg does great work, no doubt.

I am new and that's why I have only two fountain pens, ( but three others are ordered and probably coming these days). The ink I am using in these pens is ordinary Dux, blue, and blue-black.

Here are my treasures.

Suexilin, welcome to FPN, :W2FPN: and thanks so much for showing us your pens. I still have the first fountain pen I ever used, more than 20 years ago, and it never ceases to charm me.

@DC, my wife told me the same thing! (re: my edgy colors are still blue-black). :)

The older I get (32 now, just a bit older than stompie and Gclef), the more I realize I'm quite comfortable with the same old things over and over. Now, that doesn't mean a few new pens here and there won't hurt. :)

The Mabie Todd, Parker Royal Challenger, and Sheaffer Tuckaway are all gorgeous!

@Gclef, great to see your hand on the thread. Sorry to hear the Phileas gave you some troubles. I have the same model in red, and it was my very first pen. Smooth little writer.

Everything looks great, everyone!

Jay

I love this thread and I'm so excited to share with you my new jewel... (Now I fully understand why many on FPN love urushi pens.) The photo does not do justice to the beautiful aka tamenuri finish (sorry Ernest!)
