Dioxazine, great inks!

Bruce, awesome Estie you've got there, someone's going to get lucky.

Uncle Red and Ivan, you guys do nice work with all the pens you have. Thanks for letting us in on all of them.

Here are two pens I really like:

Thanks for the very nice words; I am kind of a sucker for wood pens. Here are some pics of the Faggionato next to a Platinum Briarwood. The Faggionato has an ebonite section which I like because it doesn't stain, as I've found wood does. And Rev, the Organics Studio Manganate V ink is really great, even for a a lackadaisical blue-black ink guy like myself.

Captain Blue-Black :)

:ltcapd: Yeah, Cap'n!

You really must try some other colours - I am and quite enjoying it!

Hmmmm, DC , I like the all wood look. Ink stains are part of the character IMO.

Never heard of that Faggy pen before - are they easy to come by?

Hi ribbit, I can take some pics tomorrow, but today we have already descended into dusk so lighting is terrible. I'll get back to you soon with pics of the Chilton.

Not taking my name or colour-bias in vain, I trust.

Ah, I am sure you have realised what is important - so are you going to show us the storm proof pen case you built?

Blah blah blah, boy I really open up when I'm using pens instead of a keyboard, huh?

Also, the paper is some brittle, yellowy stuff I'm kinda cycling out. Just grabbed whatever was convenient to tell you all about my little pens.

HI GClef, its so good to have you back! Glad you didn't let Hurricane Sandy get the best of you!

Here are some pics, as requested, of the Chilton in Peacock celluloid, taken on the front page of a book I have which is about the same vintage as the pen. Its hard to capture all the different colors and swirls, but I think you get the idea. I've been writing again with this pen and it just blows me away how comfortable it is to use, and how nicely it writes.

That is a stunningly beautiful pen, David. Always makes me think we lost a lot in materials and craftsmanship over the years.

BTW, I liked that Mint Turquoise ink you were using in that earlier picture. Could be the perfect ink for my teal Nelson Heritage with its new italic nib. And I thought I was finished buying for the year. Thanks...headsmack.gif
