Thank you, everyone, for sharing. I go through this thread multiple times a day just to admire everyone's beauties, but I don't post my own here enough.

Today the job search is less arduous with my current companion - a Pelikan M640 Polar Lights that was sent to Mike Masuyama to perform a 0.4mm stub grind on the not-very-enjoyable XF nib. The man is a wizard. Flow is perfect, wonderful line variation, though a very small sweet spot. Love it.

Looks beautiful!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I love it too! Its awesome how it can also shade with some narrow nibs too!

:puddle: Dude. If I could keep you in my pen pouch to whip out when I take notes, I would. What was that even done with?

Me too - it grew on me, steadily. It's even better in person. Ink is Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo.

This is the worst thing it produced. Little hairy letters with this one, but as the colder weather is coming its okay.

Stormy Grey is a really wet ink though, so I'm not surprised.

Otherwise, no bleed through anywhere.

Even the inside of the cover looks great! And as you can see there's also that red dividing sheet on the front and back.

I found an old, trusted pen that I had put away quite a long time ago: a Levenger True Writer (1st generation??). I loaded it up with Noodler's Fox, and now I don't know why I ever put it away! It writes like a charm. The single thing for me is the very fine nib, when I prefer a more generous line. And then I realized something that I never knew at the time I bought and used it in the 1990s --the 14k gold nib and the styling of the cap are pure Sheaffer. Who knew?

Methinks you have a Sheaffer: check the cap band.

Lovely pen.

Well, oddly enough it says both Sheaffer AND Levenger (I couldn't get both names on the band in one photo). I'm guessing when Levenger first started manufacturing their pens, they had Sheaffer do it? Intriguing...

Thanks for the lovely compliment! Fountain pens themselves are always a sign of good taste, in my book! ;)

:D

My SO was the first one to point out the sexual nature of fountain pens when she found some of my scribblings when I was testing pens. Stuff like "Ooh, this one is nice and wet and juicy... so smooth.. mostly firm... a bit springy... fits well in the hand..." Couldn't argue her point.

Oh, my pre-teenage son was a giggler. Imagine if you will how funny it was when he saw my review "blah blah blah pen is...." now delete the space. He was rolling on the floor.

I cannot stop laughing. I am immature.

I believe this is an oblique. The mark worn off I cannot really tell.
