Thanks! :D Solferino it's my first bottle of fp ink, I'm really happy it :)

and happy fountain pen day y'all! I celebrated by giving a classmate her first fountain pen, a Platinum Preppy (after I realized she was eyeing mine lol). She was really happy! :)

A greeting for everyone on the board. The pens used are in the last 2 photos, which I entered in the recent Pentime contest. And to explain the last photo: the rules did say to shoot the pen of the day.

Kyongju, the pentime photo is brilliant! I would have voted for yours had it made the finals.

Thank you, Uncle Red, and it is a Century Pen Co. BCHR with a lovely, rather long-tined nib (see attached photo).

PS: I am starting to lust after that orange ink you keep using. That is the Sailor Jentle ink, is it not? How does it compare to Apache Sunset?

Yes, it's Sailor Jentile Apricot in my Waterman 72 eyedropper so I'll be using it for a while. I need to pull Apache Sunset out and fill something so I'll post a comparason this weekend. I think the Sailor is a bit better with flex nibs but not by much.

Uncle Red, thank you very much. I shall look forward to that, as I adore Sailor inks: the 2.3mm italic I am currently using for my replies on this thread is inked with a Sailor Jentle ink, in fact.

Stompie, I am so pleased for you now that the pen seems to be working properly. Do show off more photos of it (as well as your lovely hand), please.

And 2 more replies I managed to write out before going offline:

My scanner is really terrible. I get much better results with my camera but too lazy to go upstairs and get it this once.

Happy Fountain Pen Day, all. I'm gonna go post that on FB and listen to my friends call me a pen nerd. roflmho.gif

D'oh! I forgot to write how much I like your photo of the sheet music and pen. Lovely notes!

Dear, dear ethernautrix, I meant a lot of things when I said that: I am a woman, after all :ltcapd: But at its simplest and if I may revert to the vernacular to express it, I think Nakaya is boss. Or as they say over there, なかやゎ最高!

PS: Thank you for posting the image of the Parallel. I was wondering what you used for the lovely red script in the earlier photo.

So that was the problem all along - I had twisted off the sac by taking off the feed section! :bonk:

Now, I am so chuffed with this pen!

BRB (Be Right Back) going to go practice with it :clap1:

Well... it makes more sense if you're an otter.

Kindv bummed that you're not an otter....

Otters....

I kid!

I was confused over "rare" and "well done." Or maybe I was hungry. (I am peckish now, though.)

Looks like that Lamy is turning out very nice there Dicky!

Hmmm, that adds up to a lot of cash for one little light, however, on the bright side, if it is ever said that your hobby is expensive, you could point out the cost implications of the bumper car hobby by comparison? :roflmho:
