David - I wanted you to know Parker is coming to visit Uncle David and play in the snow for the winter. :D

You mean Parker your pen-eating dog?! We have a Parker dog at our house, too, and his preferred meal is a freshly delivered box placed at the front door by UPS or FedEx. He's happy with whatever contents might be delivered that day but feels like its Christmas when the box holds a new iPhone (ask me how I know). But who could ever discipline this face:

I see no discipline in any doggy futures...unless, Charlie the Fish takes over the job!

Attilla, you can reseal the pipettes by heating them (Cyber6 reminds me all the time, that the preferred method does not include catching the tips on fire), then clamping them closed with pliers for 45 seconds.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

He's definitely a keeper, even if he does eat iPhones. :(

I was going to save this photo for Sunday (due to the date) but it looks like I'll be out of interweb territory all weekend so I'm posting now, a few days before the 94th anniversary of the Dunn~Pen patent. This is the pen I'm using this week.

I love the KWZI ink, by the way. A precious sample was surreptitiously placed in my hands on a dark, cold night last week in St. Paul, I can't say by whom.

I can see you meeting in front of a Candy Store, sneaking ink samples. Very clandestine.

Parker and I would love to have Parker come for a visit!

I know the feeling about disciplining a cute face for eating part of my collection as he was a puppy. But, I did enable him and myself by saying. "Its not his fault, I should have................."

He has been forgiven for all his wrongdoings, and instead of fountain pens, he now likes to chew on logs, and fireplace kindling. He does not mind helping to drag large tree branches to the trash pile. He's a hardworking dog!

LOOK AT THIS FACE!!!

Anyone who has that ink want to meet me in front of a candy store?

In-between Zurich and Rigi, countryside :-)

It is not a Swiss creativity matter, I am space/aircraft specialist. Former top glider pilot.

I make pens with the same ideas as sport aircraft (theory of stability, balance, manuring....)

But sorry, seems I am out of topic..... see more at ringpen.com or ringotools.com

Will discuss new ideas in writing industry (never used) in special post soon. I felt in love with FOUNTAINPENNETWORK now! (I am new participant here)

Hmm..... Man that never used even pencil properly ... (or did not do it a lot of time) on this photo.

His name -- Bill Gates. Ironically, but 2 generations just follow the same way... "Double-click generations", I could say...

It was post here, about the article

"The Pen Is Mightier Than the Keyboard: Advantages of Longhand Over Laptop Note Taking"

and somebody told, pity it is only Abstract.

Well,... author, Dr. Pam A. Mueller just kindly sent me his whole article. Enjoy it. (attached)

also, about holding the pens (fountain pens also) - possibly it is interesting to see advises by Professor Earl Owen:

http://www.ringpen.com/ABCD/

I looked at your website the other day, and I am impressed overall.

Switzerland is my favorite European country, I have family in Wengen, and spent lots of time in Zurich, especially at Landolt-Arbenz. I thought they were going to kick me out.

My family originated from Einsiedeln. When there I felt like I was at home.

Wow, a person hands out an ink sample or two and word gets out! You should hear about the six bottle Noodlers exchange in a bus bench across from MacCallister College. The bottles were wrapped in paper towels and nestled inside a Swedish Ice Cream bucket! They were Stockholm Indigo, after all. I like to live life on the edge of danger and intrigue.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Is it odd that our furry and finny friends are named Charlie Parker? Are they searching for the perfect blue(s)?

Blues, warm and cuddly, constant affection. Just shows we have excellent taste.

Hmmm, I'm not sure I am naturally cut out to be either a spy or a government informant. I prefer my martinis stirred, my pens to write and not be a gun or a camera, and I suggested meeting at Candyland because my pooch Winston (aka The Snarling Spaniel) needed more cheese popcorn.

The infamous Swedish Inkscpade was all arranged by Amber and Cyber6 - I was just the moll, the stooge, the Saint Paul putz, the middle woman. I didn't get any ink on my hands!

Still need to tell that fountain pens are not so good for drawing...

Preferable always is - simple wooden PENCIL (this is why one will never will go out from the markets).

For writing I use –

Montblanc Meisterstück Hommage à Frédéric Chopin (with cap on the top - for better balance)

Fabber Casttle AMBITION BIRNBAUM – still designers did not think about good gripping area…. (without cap on the top: too heavy)

SIGMA from Sigma Pens (UK) - without cap on the top

But drawing… wooden PENCIL only!

My wife surprised me with a Sailor 1911 Classic in black today. I have not used it yet. Cannot quite tell what size the nib is but it looks like fine. Will fit the converter and give it a go.post-117112-0-05163800-1416586405_thumb.jpg

Congratulations on a beautiful Sailor pen. The nib size is usually engraved on the left side of the nib in very small letters.
