I've been working lots but had a chance to be out in our ridiculously cold weather, and I had with me a late 1920s Wahl RMHR and a journal filled with Tomoe River paper. The ink (not seen here) is Sailor Jentle Ink Tanna japonensis, which I love!

Might as well put that snow to good use!

For those of you who thought he wouldn't behave and I couldn't take a picture while he was behaving - here is Charlie the Betta. What do they say about a fish in the hand? BTW, for some reason it rotated the photo 90 degrees to the left.

OOPhoto - your writing looks like it was done on a computer, such a steady and beautiful hand!

Amber, that white stuff in David's photo is why I take baby steps when I'm outside for about six months each year. Picture Tim Conway as the white haired old man in the Carol Burnet Show. I go slower than that. Otherwise, I could fall and go boom.

My blood is like water, snow and I do not mix. I feel your pain, especially walking on ice.

I'm impressed with the fish and terrified by the white stuff. Around here, white stuff on the ground that means that the DEA was really not doing their jobs. Today was "cold" I had to put on long pants but not so cold that I wore socks with my loafers.

Inky is so happy to see another inky!

Love the pen, my daughter has one like it, but the smaller size. It was a gift for her 13th birthday.

Swiss creativity is always my favorite. I will check out your products. What part of Switzerland?

In-between Zurich and Rigi, countryside :-)

It is not a Swiss creativity matter, I am space/aircraft specialist. Former top glider pilot.

I make pens with the same ideas as sport aircraft (theory of stability, balance, manuring....)

But sorry, seems I am out of topic.....

Will discuss new ideas in writing industry (never used) in special post soon. I felt in love with FOUNTAINPENNETWORK now! (I am new participant here)

Hmm..... Man that never used even pencil properly ... (or did not do it a lot of time) on this photo.

His name -- Bill Gates. Ironically, but 2 generations just follow the same way... "Double-click generations", I could say...

It was post here, about the article

"The Pen Is Mightier Than the Keyboard: Advantages of Longhand Over Laptop Note Taking"

and somebody told, pity it is only Abstract.

Well,... author, Dr. Pam A. Mueller just kindly sent me his whole article. Enjoy it. (attached)

also, about holding the pens (fountain pens also) - possibly it is interesting to see advises by Professor Earl Owen:

Attila:

Amazingly, Charlie is reading "How to be a Big Fish in a Little Pond" right now! He is very pleased with your rendering of him, his only critique being that he is a blue fish, not a green one. I explained that you were writing with green ink made by our friend KWZI, and he settled back down. He is a very feisty fish. I just put him in a bigger bowl.

He complimented your handwriting, saying that it flows like cool water over smooth rocks in a woodland stream on a warm, sunny day.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.
