@attika89 Thanks, I'm always being nominated at work to write on whiteboards or label things or address parcels because apparently no-one else has legible writing.

I have some serious envy over your cursive writing but it gives me wonderful motivation to keep practising mine :notworthy1:

Thank you so much!

I can see why they ask you for that! ;)

Consistency is pretty great with your printing! I'm struggling with that a bit.

Ancient Copper, Tanna Japonensis, Diamine Chocolate Brown, Shigure

Ah yes, the case. I quite like it. It was given to me by a co-worker and I use it to cart my pens to and from work every day.

Why does this write better than far more expensive pens?????

Having examined a few expensive modern pens (Japanese pens excepted) and seen the same tendency to have baby's bottom in nearly all of them, I have concluded that rather than it being poor manufacturing it is actually the maker assuming the owner will not invest in good paper. Pens that I have had that I have fixed the issue in would always work spectacularly on cheap paper and then fail miserably on clairefontaine or such. fixing them to the way I think we around here like (wet, without skipping on coated paper) actually makes the pens objectively worse on copier paper as you get massive bleedthrough and feathering.

Lest I sound like a conspiracy theorist, let me state that I would have greeted this statement with skepticism a few years ago. Unfortunately, "real life" have taught me that 1. everyone assumes everyone else is an idiot and 2. they are usually right. I think that what it is is a bit like when CRK treats their knives a point softer than other people's S30v and S35vn because they put a thin hollow grind on the blade and if they ran them at 60 like Strider does people would chip out their sebenza blades left and right. Or the nanny-esque traction control systems they put in Bimmers these days.

Anyway, you have wonderful handwriting. Im quite jealous

Perhaps you write better with this than with more expensive pens. Generally I find that drier writing and finer nibs work better for me on average paper. It not being the cost of the pens, but rather the nib width, finer nibs putting down less ink tend to feather less on average paper, probably on any paper. I have a Pelikano medium that doesn't do so well, but also fine and extra fine Parkers, Sheaffers, Watermans, Pelikans and Montblancs that write as well, issues of penmanship excepted.

So, I had to show off the American Brilliant Crystal Relish dish that my dad just bought me for my pens. He bought it an auction for $10. I couldn't believe it!

I am seriously coveting this pen. I have the silver and the blue, and all I need is the red to complete the trio. :puddle:
