Hello! I usually just lurk on FPN but I've been enjoying this thread so much I thought I'd jump in with my new Kaweco Sport that just arrived yesterday. I plan to use this as an EDC pen (nice compact size, threaded cap).

The shading in the Solferino is gone, sad.

Here's a close up of the Solferino but it's still not like real life.

Thanks Uncle Red, it was good to rediscover this thread! It is own brand paper from a UK chain called Paperchase - it is very fountain pen friendly

Last night it was one of my most expensive pens and tonight it is one of my cheapest. In my experience price doesn't necessarily mean better.....

Uncle Red, the Delta is a piston filler, from the Star series, one of Bryant's special editions. Greg Minuskin's smoothing of an already excellent nib makes for an absolutely amazing writing experience.

JB213, glad you joined the fun. I have some of that Sustainable Earth paper but it always feathers when I use wet nibs, which is mostly what I have. I had great hopes for it, though. I used a Rhodia DotPad in the above sample.

Kaweco Sepia ink is a pleasant surprise, don't you think?

I agree! It actually has really nice shading on nicer paper (Rhodia especially) from a dark, almost chocolate brown to a nice light antique color. I'm enjoying it.

Although, if it were even a tiny bit water resistant, I'd like it more. I spilled some coffee on some notes I wrote with it and... well... you know what happened. :glare:
