David : Amazing collection !!!! Guess the moment you take a call to buy a pen, the nib metamorphoses into a Stub on its own ... quite like Gregor Samsa of Kafka

Even a Naginata Togi couldn't escape the transformation in your hand !!

The pen is a looker. So is the writing. And the ink..so rich!

Here's what the scrawl says:

Today I am using a Sheaffer, purchased from Greg Minuskin. The nib is ground into a 6 mm stub. It is currently inked with a sample of Diamine China Blue, a lovely ink which dries to a nice chalky blue, reminiscent of China pattern plates.

About the pen: I don't actually know what model it is, but it is a great writer. It is slim and long and fits well in my hand!

About the ink: It shows up much bluer on my screen than it is in person. It's much more washed out in person.

Cellardoor : I am just imagining.. if I buy exactly such a pen ...can I draw so beautifully ? ;)

Nice looking pen...nice drawing.

Take a look at Richard Binder's site here, which should help you identify your Sheaffer. Great dragon!

I had a look on the site. If i'm not wrong, the listing for my pen was a "Sheaffer Triumph", which I see is listed in the index. It is not a snorkel Fill. Thanks for the help!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Nope, I guess you won't use up all your ink collection with those fine nibs.

BTW, do you think Momiji looks like Crimson leaves? I think it looks like Crimson leaves if they were in Neon on the Strip... so hot pink.

Win-win. I've been using the XXF for math, largely, and it's perfect.

It does approximate the colour of Japanese maple leaves in the fall, but I just see hot pink! I love it, though. There's a bit of gold sheen. I like ambiguous coral/pink/red shades for ink, lipstick, and nail polish, apparently.
