Just wanted to say that I've been following this post for a while and have been inspired by all your beautiful pens, inks, and of course handwriting. :)

So I think it's about time I post something of my own... some sketches drawn with an Esterbrook LJ with a 9556 nib and J. Herbin Lie de Thé.

:W2FPN: and nice sketches Lymnour! Thanks for sharing.

My Graf Von Faber Castell Intuition ran out of ink today, so I cleaned it ant put it on a tray to have a rest. Tomorrow will be Montegrappa Symphony day filled with Murasaki Shikibu ....

And I should receive one or two pens tomorrow (I never have enough) And you, which one will be your next pen ?

Wow, I've heard of those things.... I think they are called trees?

Those are unprocessed pen blanks, for those who like wooden pens. :D

OH, yes, I have one in my hall way. It is a purple one. I haven't seen an orange one.

That's because of autumn kicking in... :)

Lymnour: stunning sketchbook work. Do keep sharing your work with us!

Thier: May I suggest something full-bodied and bold? How did the Pelikan Graphos pen and nibs work out for you?

dcpritch: glorious collection. I'm swooning! The ink reminds me of Diamine's "Meadow" --a favorite of mine.

Coop: Lovely ink and writing. The Diamine "Sapphire" is a great shade of blue. I agree that it's a wonderful "daily blue" ink.

Today, I received an inexpensive vintage Waterman Pen and pencil set from Canada, in Tiger Eye celluloid. The pen is the type that pleases me greatly --flexible nib and reliable flow of ink. The nib does have a slight scratchiness that I have to work with, but the results are fairly nice.

yep, I grew up in Wisconsin, lived in Minnesota, and now spend a lot of time in Massachusetts. The color is breathtaking, even to this color blind guy, but you know it's just to lull you into not feeling the boom of winter being lowered...and I love winter!

What?

WHAT?!!

Are you saying ...

No, you aren't really using the W word. Not yet, its not even the middle of September!

The lighting in my office is so weird...it's defnitely brighter than appears on the photo, and the background isn't as dark...the nib is a wet enough fine. Oh well, if I didn't do this at work it wouldn't happen.

I love this thread!

The color on that Jowo is stunning. I come to this thread and drool.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison
