Really great color! I prefer the warmer colors to the cooler ones, but a rich, deep blue still grabs me.

(I love when people experiment and make their own concoctions! I randomly mixed some inks a long while ago, and now that I look at it, it's like something between Private Reserve Vampire Red and Diamine Ancient Copper. FUN!)

With apologies, don't you hate it when people post a pen picture and the tip of the nib didn't make it into the photo? Don't worry, I'm flaming myself..sorry about the Pilot Metro pic a couple of posts north of here.

This picture is not doing the pen justice.

Wow, that pen has never looked that good on the Pelikan website.

Also, nice shading.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Forgot to say, this was written with my Pilot Metro, one of my two other non-vintage pens...

@Mishka5050 and Amber: Yes! I love my Lamy pens for school stuff. Super dependable, work well with *all* the inks I've tried in them so far, and I feel comfortable bringing them to class :) The Neon Coral was my first fountain pen, and it's not my favourite of my little collection, but I certainly have a soft spot for it.

Tonight, I'm using my Metropolitan with X-feather for math and my Pelikan M205 with Rohrer & Klingner Sepia for letter writing: (further up the letter, that's Alt-Goldgrün, but I was restless and switched inks)

I'm really happy with the M205! I'm itching to pick up some other nib units for it. I have a fine, but a Binder XXF would be good for school and a Binder stub would be a real fun time, probably...

Just now running through some older posts, and here's the debut of that stunning Aristokrat...

I forgot about that post...I was so excited when I received the pen from Spain!

A new week... My Metro is back in its accustomed role as my subway and outdoor pen... time for a change!

The photo is a tad dark, and doesn't show the pen's beautiful red and gray marbling well, so I added a picture taken after its resto was finished.

Tim,

French pens are certainly stylish, very nice looking Gold Starry. How long is the pen?
