This is a super yummy PdAg nib in factory Broad. The line is so wet and thick, I love it!

Here's a factory stub nib that I had transp[lanted onto a gorgeous grey striated, full size plunger filler. The barrel is even a demo (yellow, not ambered) through the stripes!

Saskia_ Very drool worthy! I love both nibs. The wetter one is probably my favorite......

Penning is not an inexpensive hobby.

I noticed you said "dealer" to dcpritch, lol "I promise its not a problem, I can quit anytime!" uh huh me too....

I'll have you know, I quit for hours at a time!

Don't have a pic of this pen in use, but the line is Fine Semi Flex. A Wirt MOP ED.

Fun thread.

Wow! It is now one of my missions in life to find and afford a Wirt fountain pen like Blotto's! That is just stunning!

Good to know I am not the only one that has seen this problem. I will say that (SO FAR) I haven't seen the leakage with the Noodler's 54th Massachusetts loaded. It might be the ink (though 3 other brands leaked) or it might be that I just got "lucky" when putting it back together.

If need be, I can deal with it .. but for the price and reputation, it seems like that shouldn't happen.

As far as the NIB .. I absolutely LOVE it. I got the EF (so it's more like an ExExF) and it is SMOOTH. Even with the SUPER fine nib and me being a lefty (we push as opposed to pull the pen when writing) .. it writes VERY smooth. I love the line size of this EF NIB as I write small AND being a lefty, the smaller line means less ink which in turn means a faster drying time. The downside to this is you give up the shading of inks.

I will let you know what I hear back.

Thanks for the info, I am also a lefty, my nib is a Medium which is a very heavy medium and was no where near smooth as received. It has been modified to a more of a heavy fine BUT, I really REALLY want one of those Ex Fine and am a bit worried about the leakage issue now... I agree for the price and reputation, you should not have to deal with that.

If you think everything is going well... you obviously have no idea what is really going on!

A wonderful collection of nibs, and your dedication to putting the collection together does you credit - it was clearly worth the effort!

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

Plistumi - that is nice! What a beautiful pen.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I apologize to my Pelikans, but nothing--nothing-- is more beautiful than a Nakaya. Gorgeous Blue raden!
