You all have such beautiful handwriting! Carretera's Plato quotation is so lovely - the shading in that in makes me want to order one immediately!

I'm very pleased with this; whilst not a Parker 51, it writes extremely well -- Leon

Unlike the Parker 51, this look-alike sports an ink-window.

Welcome aboard, Andeek -- Leon

Hi, new to the board, but have been lurking for a week or two. I wanted to introduce myself to my most oft read thread. Thanks for all your posts! Love seeing your handwriting. Here is my Noodler's nib creaper with a Wahl Oxford #2 nib and J. Herbin eclat de saphir on a Picadilly lined notebook.

Here are some pens I'm using this week:

Ohhhh. Lust, or something close. That Parker looks like it was done with a cap like my dad's has, longitudinally scribed lines. Sigh. It needs a trip to Ron Zorn.

Such beautiful pens and inks, everyone! Here is what I will use at one point or another today. (It comprises almost the entirety of my collection.)

Nice!

Can you do me a favor .. after using the pen for a while, can you open it and look at the NIB / Feed assembly. I am attaching a picture of mine and I want to know if yours looks like mine. I have a feeling I have a defective one. (I have checked seals and stuff .. I have flushed it and tried again .. the ink is Iroshizuku Kon-Peki) .. no matter what I do, it just seems to bleed ink. I filled it with a syringe so it isn't residual ink from sticking the NIB in the ink.

I like all the pens.... Do your students, or whoever you are grading papers for comment on your use of a fountain pen?

Interesting - just been looking on Cult pens and that 'style' of VP (or capless) is only available with a medium nib ??

Goulet has them in B, M, F, EF.

Whoa, I didn't realize how nicely Nightshade shades until I took a closer look at my picture. Lovely!

Also: thank you Amber re: my new snail! I tried my first wash the other day and I'm hooked. This is going to make inks EVEN MORE FUN than they already are.

Some snail-inspired artsy stuff I did a while ago for a analog mail initiative on Facebook.

Thanks, I have sent an email to Goulet Pens (where I got it). I have since tried different inks

Diamine Red Dragon - leaked

Private reserve (fast dry) - some leakage but it wasn't loaded long as is was NOT fast drying

right now I have Noodler's 54th Massachusetts. That is the last ink swap I am doing. I think I have done my fair share of testing. I will wait and see if it leaks / what I hear back from Goulet Pens.

Thanks again!

Coop,

one last thing .. on the back side of the nib (the plastic feed part) .. do you see any residue of ink there? It is just a little and I am wondering if that is from my other issue .. or if that is just a little smear from when the NIB pushes out of the "door" when extended.
