My, this thread is active! I already posted these in another thread on another forum, but I suppose it cannot hurt to post them here as well. The only modern pen for the week (the ratio is 1 modern: 2 vintage per week): an M200 2012 Demonstrator Edition.

:hmm1: that is a good looking pen! I been thinking of getting me a Pelikan with a Binder Cursive Italic nib

BUT BUT BUT, right now I am off on holiday for 17 days - see y'all when I return, God willing! :cloud9:

Kyouju,

that is beautiful writing.

What nib do you have? Is it a standard Pelikan or have you had it modified?

Thank you so much. And that is not actually the nib that is supposed to go with the model. The original nib was a gold-plated steel one; I replaced that with an M400 585 nib ground to a 0.9CI.

sandra_w, I love the typewriter. The typeface is so orderly. And, tell me about that Pel. I have a rollerball Pel that looks just the same as yours - kind of holographic (if that's the word).

A word on the flex-nib dip pen I mentioned. It's called a Romanov Silver Stylus by Au Musee' - is this a no-name brand or has someone heard of it? I have zero experience with 'real' flex nibs (besides a Konrad), and this little stylus can do some damage in the hands of an experienced practitioner of course. But it's making me curious. Uncle Red, did you use the term 'gateway drug'?

Whilst that Vacumatic is indeed stunning, I have to admit I'm more a fan of the personalised stationery. Excellent choice Rev'd Wright. Oh and greetings from the Diocese of Sydney also!

Right back at you! I love you guys in Sydney! While the rest of the communion totters, you all carry on. We're very grateful for you. :)

@Uncle Red: Surprising how much give that nib has. Do you not feel a little nervous flexing it?

@dcpritch: Heavens, but that Diamine Grape is handsome. Is that a bit of sheen I see in the second photo?

And for this week, something I picked up last night on a whim: a Sailor Fude de Mannen. Lovely, quirky, wonderfully inexpensive little pen.

@Vignette: Er... is it really the feed that is the issue or is not the nib shifted off-centre? I cannot be certain, but that is what it appears to be in the photo.
