Odd mix today, Indian, Chinese and antique American:

Romus Majestic with Noodler's Bad Belted Kingfisher; Jinhao X450/Fude nib with Noodler's Nikita; Parker Challenger with Diamine Denim

EDIT: Added the writing samples -- well, kinda writing. Twenty-odd years of college and working in the medical field took it's toll.

Well, I couldn't post a pic... I have not being able to upload a file since yesterday? Is there a problem with size or something? I made them 1500 Pixels and the longest size and they are 133 Kb only. Anyone having trroubles uploading? I think Not!

Update: It seems there is a limit to uploads! I didn't know that! Better to keep files small, then.

Taking a break from work to play around with semi flex a little :)attachicon.gifimage.jpg

I got this same pen today, same color. But I can't do flex... Did you do some modification to it? To the ink?

Looks very nice!

My friend bought me this Manuscript pen for Christmas. It writes well enough but I'm just itching to upgrade to a smoother, more free-flowing italic nib. (The nib isn't gold btw; it just looks like that because of the lighting here)

I had to cheat and use a color pencil on the sand. I used orange Pilot mixable ink, but it was too bright, so the yellow pencil was able to lighten it up. Now they are off to Coto de Caza, Socal.

Finalist: You know I LOVE your artwork, but I was transfixed with angst and amusement by Notrosie's prose!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

I've never seen the green Lamy and I really like it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

This thread is always an inspiration... except when I'm drooling ... then it's a messy inspiration. Thank you all for sharing.

We had a conversation about this via PM, but I'll copy-paste some of my responses here in case it helps anyone else:

Hi! I really hope you're enjoying it. I do find that I do have to press pretty hard, yeah. I can't do flex work for toooo long or my hand gets sore. It's possible that your nib is stiffer than mine. I like mine where it is, stiff enough to do normal note taking but flex enough that I can have fun with it, but maybe consider doing the "ease my flex" mod! If I get another Nib Creaper (or a Konrad, maybe), I'll almost certainly mod it and use it with less serious inks.

Hope this helps! I don't have the means right now but I could even take a video for you later demonstrating how flexy my nib is.

I find that it is worth the effort as I'm still able to do a page or so of flex before my hand gets too tired. It did take me some time getting comfortable flexing the pen as much as I do!

I put some pictures of what I have done on Flickr, here:https://m.flickr.com.../125653183@N03/

There's image one showing the line variation I get, and on a Rhodia dotpad so hopefully that helps for scale.
