Finalist: I am intrigued at how you achieve the liquid glass look in the waves. It is quite breathtaking! Fantastic work!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Thanks!

I'll post a step by step when it's done. I've been taking pics along the way.

Almost done. I'm going to tinker with it for a couple days.

Trading this for a rare golf club!

...then promptly selling that golf club and buying a Nakaya Naka-ai... if all goes well.

Wow.. your work is amazing.... thank you for sharing I never would have guess you can do that with fountain pens...

Wow! At first I thought I was just seeing some swirls on a page, but I kept staring at it and it just came to life. Now I see water, waves, mountains, sunset and fire! It looks like some weird fire and ice apocalyptic storm

Here are a few first-time experimental shots of 3 of my faves using my new nikon dslr and a good macro lens. I'm NO photographer but I don't hate the first attempts...the pens being really nice does help tho! I use all 3 much of the time. - Doh! Forgot to add pics of the script!

Wow, that's beautiful.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

+1!

The Parker 45, imho, wins in many categories! I use one every day and wouldn't want to be without it! Congrats on the first of many! :yikes:

Ceelo - Very nice 45, I always have a fondness for Parkers...

Here is one I have not used in a long time. A Soennecken 444 Extra, the original nib cracked and had iridium missing from one of the tines, but in my spare nib cache I found a nib that fit perfectly.

Haha, thanks for the extra pic. Now I'm experiencing envy. And I just showed the picture to a friend who looked at me like, "What? What are you showing me? Is that a pen? I don't get it." Worst part was I knew I would get that reaction, but had to show it anyway.

I had a nice lady ask me "is that a fountain pen?" when I signed a recipt with my Lamy2000. She seemed genuinely interested! I chose my my Twsbi diamond mini, with a lovely noodler's navajo turquoise, to show off. I was so excited to show off to someone who had even the slightest interest hahahaha.
