:D I thought it was just me.

Brushed steel pens, arghhh! GOOSBUMPS just thinking about it . . .

Most metal overlay pens do that to me. Even my Cross ball gives me the willies. I guess I won't be purchasing a solid gold 149 anytime soon. LOL

I was undecided, so I ordered the loose pages because if I cut along one side they are perfect for my new ARC notebooks. If the paper proves to be good I think I will buy the notebook.MY way is expensier but I make my own notebooks.

Glad I could be of help. Some may call this enabling.

Paperforfountainpens.com ...i think thats the site. A friend just purchased two bound books. The binding and cover are top quality, but it doesn't lay perfectly flat. The paper is absolutely different and deserves all the hype it gets. We tried inks that feather on other papers and the Tomoe handles them all perfectly. The paper is so thin that the 300 something pages fits into a thin book. There is some ghosting, but zero bleeding. I can't believe there are not more retailers selling this stuff.

Thanks for the site. Now that I don't have to work to find out where to get it, I may have to finally try out Tomoe River!

Dream of ink, fountain pens and loose leaf Tomoe River Paper.

The sheets are not securely attached, and there really is not a hard cover. I purchased the pads. The hard cover books weren't really my style.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Both are very nice. I am tempted by the Lamy 2000 however I am not sure I will like writing with a pen and that type of texture...kinda gives me the heebie jeebies...

Can´t do much about the heebie-jeebies, but I must say that I´m impressed with the 2K. I bought it on a whim, but it is great.

The weight, dimensions and overall feel of the pen is absolutely great.

The nib is too broad for my liking, so I´m looking for a EF nib. That would make it my EDC-pen for sure.

More squiggles and a Waterman Carene.

Cool how the squiggles turned out so vivid.

You did it with your Carene ? Mine has a so hard and not flexible nib that I even cannot imagine doing the same .....

I guess I should have elaborated... But I posted a similar picture a while ago, but with a Namiki Falcon in the centre.

The red squiggles are done by the Carene.

The orange squiggles done by a Parker Duofold.

The green squiggles done by a Waterman 52.

The blue squiggles done by a Namiki Falcon.
