My new (old) Waterman 13 - 1905? - orange & blue ink mix on Tomoe River paper. This is a grand old gal, no chasing, added on silver band, "American" clip, needlepoint with lots of flex. Fleshes out my eyedropper Watermans: 12POC, 13, 14, and 15. With the needlepoint tight flex nib, she was made for Spencerian illustrations. Who needs birds flying when there's a flag to fly instead!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Just saying Happy 4th and showing off my papers. i am quickly learning what is good here.

Got Fabriano and ARC (Got the punch in the mail) notebooks and I am loving both.

Here is a cat on Fabriano's paper.Loving it! Light with slight texture and chalk white.

Got an Osmiroind M Italic: great writing machine!

Got a red Esterbrook SJ! My fourth! --- >To celebrate the 4th of July? Ehem!

(A gray one is on the mail). As you may deduct, I am a fan of the Esterbrooks and don't see any nee dto experiment outside that brand. Simplicity that works. I love that. I may be sending off some PIF in the future when I start discarding FPs.I don't collect to look at th epens and talk about them but to use them, soooo.

Have a nice weekend!

I just tried Tomoe River tonight.

...OMG! It is shockingly awesome.

It's expensive for a small bound book of 380 pages (around $30 I think), but it may be worth it. Each pages is insanely thin, but works like nothing else I've tried.

I still like my Fabriano for the thin line widths and cost of a book, but I NEED to own a Tome River book now! :)

Birthday haul :)

Happy BDay! It's my wife's bday too... As she is opening her presents she says,"It better not be a pen!"

...she knows my new addiction too well.

Good to know, good to know and thank you for the report. I like it when the emotion of a find shines through! I am collecting good papers now.

Paperforfountainpens.com ...i think thats the site. A friend just purchased two bound books. The binding and cover are top quality, but it doesn't lay perfectly flat. The paper is absolutely different and deserves all the hype it gets. We tried inks that feather on other papers and the Tomoe handles them all perfectly. The paper is so thin that the 300 something pages fits into a thin book. There is some ghosting, but zero bleeding. I can't believe there are not more retailers selling this stuff.

pardon me for my scratchy handwriting

the MB149 I used is from transitional period from 3rd quarter of 1990. ( has West Germany, has serial numbers, no pix, split feed, brass threading, a strange combinations of all sorts)

What is Pix? I have read that sometimes and not too sure if I know what the Pix reference is on a MB.

Both are very nice. I am tempted by the Lamy 2000 however I am not sure I will like writing with a pen and that type of texture...kinda gives me the heebie jeebies...

This is the '53 Parker 51 I just got. I went through the 24 hour clean/flush, and put some ink in it. We'll see how I did. I detected some blue leaking out of the hood at the converter at the end of my flush, so hopefully, I won't have a leak. The pic isn't so clear, but the pen is Teal Blue, and I have the matching pencil.

Ohh there's an inscription ( raised lettering's) inside clip saying 'Pix' I think they added that after 1993?

some rollerball ahs 'Pix' on the band, but FP's my experiences are always inside and behind the clip
