Does your blue beauty say "SKYLINE" on the back of the clip ring?

I hadn't noticed and am out of town right now, but will check as soon as I return and let you know.

How small of all that human hearts endure,
That part which laws or kings can cause or cure.

You know this is a contentious statement!

Oops, sorry! No offense intended - and thanks for showing us that beauty. I have it's older brother, a 1920s No. 25 safety.

Yeah, it's better now, which makes me very happy. This pen reminded me that every pen has a different character, and have to be handeled differently.

And thank you all for the kind words about the Aleph. To be honest, I almost bought a Platinum 3776 with a music nib but I'm glad I bought the Marlen instead. It's quite a lot more special than the Platinum. ( but a Platinum will definitely end up in my collection at one point )

Is that a button filler? It is such a beautiful color. Let's see a sample of what it can do!

No; It's not a button filler :( ... but a more classic converter or cartridges .... I promise, I write something tomorrow and take a picture of it to show how it writes ... It's so smooth that it seems to glide on the paper .....

I can't remember where or when I bought this pen but it must have been during my fine point nib quest which was during the early '80s. The ink cartridge is from that era as well still sealed with a smidgen of ink left. I need the cart. to fill so I thought I'd use the bit that's left before cleaning it out.

I'm enjoying the birds and critters.

I have come to believe that the Lady Skripset ( not sure of the name - it's my only Shaefer) I have was made with a dual purpose. One use was, or course, writing. The other, self defense weapon. Eye gouging, abdomen stabbing, hamstringing - all possible with that needle sharp fine steel point!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

They sure make some ultra fine nibs, don't they. I have more fine, extra-fine, accountant-fine nibs and pens and don't even like writing with with a fine, non-flexible nib. Maybe someday they can be put to good use when I start practicing pen & ink art :)

Amberlea, you keep teasing me with that GI Green. Why do I always crave an ink that's no longer available, sigh.
