Looking forward to the Aleph! And the MB is quite handsome. I like the tapered end.

To be honest, the pictures don't do it justice. Also wasn't able to capture the engraving on the barrel. It just says "Aleph Marlen Italy" , but it's a nice touch.

Still wondering which pen I'll ink up with the Marlen ink, decisions, decisions...

I wish more companies made clear feeds and added cuts to the nibs like that awesome Aleph.

Wesley, I love your new Marlen. I've been a big fan of their pens for years, especially the Dossenus hard rubber models, and the Aleph model you showed indicates Marlen is continuing to make great pens.

mhphoto, that Waterman's music nib is really quite something.

Attila, thank you. Safety pens are a curiosity but sort of a pain to use. There are good reasons no one made safety pens after the 1920s!

I'm sure you've heard the expression, "go big or go home". Well ... here's a big pen, with a big, wide nib:

I had run out of MB Irish Green and just today got a new bottle in the mail. Man I love this ink!

This is sort of a David v. Goliath picture, the M1000 next to a 1920s Bayard Model 100 safety pen:

Well, I haven't tried one yet, but they don't seem to be the most comfortable pens out there. The mechanism is certainly interesting and the joy of seeing the nib appear is just great!

That M1000 though! Amazing pen worked on by an amazing man :)

I really like John's grinds!

Here is my weekend line-up. All five pens are excellent writers, from vintage to contemporary, conservative ink to a bit more color.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).
