Dcpritch, now I know where all the stub nibs have been hiding... in your pen box! I love the Sheaffer OS Flat-tops so much. I was lucky enough to find one with a broad nib. I've never seen one with a stub. Is it factory or a re-tip?

This just landed in my mailbox:

I am about to ink it. It has a stiff stub nib. I am beside myself.

Did that Vac come with the flex or was it added after the fact?

I admit it, I have far more than my fair share of stubs. And every time one shows up in the Classifieds I snap it up! Well, not really, but I DO look at them all.

The nib on that jade green OS is a factory original, never touched by anyone, with original iridium left on the tip. I bought it from Sarj earlier this year at the LA Pen Show and it sees very regular use in my rotation. B)

No, sometimes I think the grey line is finer and other times the same as the brown. I can't make up my mind.

Could be an optical illusion.

 That's it - your optics are illuded!

They both look the same to me.

Draw a line with the brown one, let it dry and then draw over it with the grey, maybe then you can unillude your optics.

Hi Stompie, thanks. It is my first waterman, and I have to say I am very impressed by it. Great nib.

You got any info on it you can share?

And if you think ebay is dangerous then I strongly suggest you do not, never, no, go onto FPN classifieds! :roflmho: my bank account is still in ICU!

Great to see your Carene, da vinci. Waterman was my first FP love, and I've always admired the Carene. And, what's more, I just discovered my friendly neighbor works for Newell-Rubbermaid. :)
