Don't Just Tell Us About The Pen You're Using, *show* Us!

Excuse my ignorance, but my head is exploding from the samples of writing that I'm seeing posted here. Call me naïve, but I never knew it was possible that a person could get super flexible "dip pen nibs" for fountain pens! Or do I misunderstand?

If such a thing were possible, where would one find such marvels? <sounds of hands clapping in delight>

Sorry, just took a look through some of the fora and found information I was looking for. Beg pardon.

My new Gama Hawk (shiney with clip) in action. It's my first ebonite. The material feel really good! More dense and warm compared to thinner plastics. The nib line width compares to my TWSBI ef thickness, but the Gama Hawk nib is smoother! The steel is thinner and not as well stamped as the TWSBI nib, but maybe the #6 size adds some bounce? The feed keeps up exceptionally well. The only problem has been some burping. I just read eyedroppers should be filled completely to eliminate air that may expand and push ink out, so I'll give that a try. If it works this pen is fantastic.

Wow..

Thank you tringle, pankaj and h.farmawi, you embarrass me with your praise, given the standard of your own penmanship, and the recent exceptional examples from attika89, promperopero, Finalist and 00Photo, also shown on this page that of a standard to which I can only aspire.

I'm playing around with a bunch right now. Too many to include my poor penmanship for each.

And the Esterbrook is actually more of just an oblique, not so much a stub. Too big of a glass of wine with dinner tonight.

My oldest "borrowed" my pens to do her homework.
