Piggy, you changed your avatar!

BTW, beautiful pens. How do they write?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Discopig: Yes, I want to see those flex nibs in action! And, what are the pens names?

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

They are amazing writers, but I use them mostly for sketching. All of them are flexible to some degree, the small Wahl "0" being the most flexible one (wet noodle that can reach 2.5+mm with no pressure), so they are just great for sketching outside the house.

I love this thread. Beautiful pens, artistic people, and quite a bit of humor makes for good reading. All of the nice handwriting inspires me to work on my scrawl.

Yes, the major dings and scrapes now seem to be blending into a myriad of micro dings and polishing out again. We'll see.Normally I carry the Arc in my non-change pocket, but it found it's way into the other pocket the day I shot the pic. How old is your Arc?The Spydie Sage is excellent. Smooth as buttah.

Sotto2,

My first ArcAAA is from the second batch he did. I think that makes it 9 or 10 years old. I have two more that I bought as his original business folded. I think one says "final run" or something similar (I haven't seen it for a couple of years since my last move). They are great little lights and close to indestructible.

It is interesting to see other people interested in so many of the same things I am since it happens so rarely. (I'm also a knife knut and a big Spyderco fan.)

My latest pen ... Custom made, before my eyes, by Roger Cromwell, a Taccia Savanna bison horn pen with a dip pen nib. ...

I'm just returning after a trip to LA followed by more than a week of quarantine due to a nasty case of Influenza A and, perusing the pages (!) I missed on this thread, I came across 00Photo's glorious new pen. Wow!!! Question is, how did you come to watch it being made? I am more than interested to know some details.

Lots of great stuff, as usual. :)

Cool, IB! I also have one of the old ARC sets that had a "big" (at the time) 1 watt LED head and multiple bodies so you could use it with several different types of batteries. I also have the accessory rubber tailcap switch for use in "tactical" situations (woo hoo). And I have an ARC+.

If you like pens, knives and such, have you looked at the Schrade Tactical Fountain Pen? They have nail nibs, but both of mine write flawlessly and first time everytime, even after sitting unused for a week or more:

Wow! Nice Arc collection you have. I'm guessing you are familiar with CPF? I'm a member, but rarely posted there.

I've seen the Schrade pens but not since I've caught Fountain Pen Fever. They look a lot like the Rick Hinderer pens, though I'm sure they are more affordable. :D

CPF... Oh how much money that site has cost me...

Stopped frequenting there because of all the drama going on.

... Never underestimate the power of human stupidity ...

Keep track of the progress in my quest for a less terrible handwriting here: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/262105-handwriting-from-hell-a-quest-for-personal-improvement/?do=findComment&comment=2917072

Been reading mostly but had to say Finalist, those trees are gorgeous and love the Ents!

The artwork here is sheer inspiring and the bird story that is evolving is awesome.

Coop and dpritch, glad you two are feeling better.

Edited to add: Crud, I forgot how to add a picture.

I used to hang out some on CPF in the "old" days. I think I paid about $23 a pop for the Schrades. Very good deal.
