BTW, SOTTO --- thought of you when I saw this!!

take the popular AL Sport range and stonewash it like you would a pair of jeans. The result is a writing instrument that looks as though it has been well used over the years.

OR put in a pocket.....

Awesome, Amberlea. Thanks for the heads-up. My AL Sport hi-gloss aluminum is still getting pocket crushed, but after a month or two, it actually almost seems to be reverting back to hi-gloss again.

A dragon study. Something the Ents fear.

The Jinhao 159 nib is great for these quick sloppy study sketches. It unloads massive ink and flows very fast and smoothly which keeps up with the quick strokes. Also, the juicey, wet lines it puts down are great for the waterbrush- minimal lines, but lots of waterbrush shading.

OK I forgot to mention the three Snorkels I received from restoration. They are fun to use but two are fine nibbed versions and one is an extra fine....Not my cup o'tea....

Nice Arc AAA you have there. And that Spydie isn't too shabby either.

Other than the surface treatment it's getting, how is that Kaweco holding up in your pocket?

... Never underestimate the power of human stupidity ...

After long enough I guess the Sport is self polishing. It looks better than new.

Do you carry the Arc with your change too? If so the anodizing has held up better than mine.

I guess I'm most freaked out by the thought of that Spyderco (ZDP-189 Caly 3?) CF getting scratched up. I love knives with some honest wear on them, but carbon fiber should always be shiny (IMO).

Coop and I must have spotted the Arc at the same time.

Finalist,

I would buy an angry Ent with fountain pens t-shirt in a heartbeat.

Hi Coop:

I really like my ARC. I've had 3. I retired the original, lost a camo version (dang!!!!!), and have had this current one for maybe 3-4 yrs.

The Spydie Sage sits clipped over the change pocket, but it gets plenty of contact and use. I've had it for 3-4 yrs. Just looking at it in bright light now, it has a nice polished, shimmery 3D look to it when you move it slightly back and forth. Better than new.

The Sport AL is holding up great. Functionally just like new. Hasn't come unscrewed, writes immediately, even though I may only use it briefly once or twice a day. Still has half the original ink in the Kaweco cartridge that it came with 2-3 months ago.

Yes, the major dings and scrapes now seem to be blending into a myriad of micro dings and polishing out again. We'll see.

Normally I carry the Arc in my non-change pocket, but it found it's way into the other pocket the day I shot the pic. How old is your Arc?

The Spydie Sage is excellent. Smooth as buttah.

The camo ARC is probably around it is just camouflaged. :lticaptd:

Ha. I'm fairly sure some little kid found it under some playground equipment (I was playing with a nephew), and it has been probably lost and found several times since. I wish they would make more of those camo versions.
