I stubbed them myself! 2500 grit (automotive buffing paper) & 300,000 grain (fibreglass buffing paper) work wonders on a medium nib.

As for the brush pen, it's a Kuretake No. 13 with a cartridge converter and Noodler's Yellow for highlighting.

Very cool. I wonder if I could stub my Jinhao 159 M nib.

Coop, in college I used a handful of inks .. Skrip Peacock, Red, and Green, and Montblanc Black and Burgundy. I had a few pelikan bottles and a Skrip Blue none of which I used. That usage didn't change much for years because I didn't use my pens much. Then after law school, I started buying inks and pens. The collection grows and I don't own enough pens to use all my inks at the same time.

Meanwhile, I can say that having purchased a lot of cheap pens, I would say that the best choice would be some of the old sheaffer school pens with cartridges and filling the cartridges with a syringe.

Here was the ink collection in September of 2012

and again in March of this year 18 months later.

@ Amber > Thank you so much. Its so thoughtful of you. Appreciate your gesture. But I am afraid I can't really use the papers. I enjoy your writings and sketch. So many colors - designs . And the stories too. Great.

@ Coop... Nice pen and really elegant handwriting... I would really like to use stub nib but unfortunately for two reasons I cannot... 1. No funds >.< and 2. No decent pens with stub nibs

You just really made my day... On the 1st of February this year I started a project to improve my handwriting. Simply because it was so terrible that I even had trouble deciphering it myself.

Now, only 4 months later you call my handwriting elegant. There are very few moments in my life I felt this proud of myself.

Thank you :)

... Never underestimate the power of human stupidity ...

Keep track of the progress in my quest for a less terrible handwriting here: http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/262105-handwriting-from-hell-a-quest-for-personal-improvement/?do=findComment&comment=2917072

Sharmad: The books might be old, but italic has been around for eons, and your local library probably has books that cover the basics. Google "Italic Writing Practice" and you'll get the websites that have information to share. This site has a forum on the subject, too. Member GClef is an italic guru and likes to make inexpensive pens sing like the angels do.

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

This is Rudi Rhino, he is the root cause why Bozo Frosty lost his nose in prison.

Yesterday he was released from prison.

As he is skint he decided today to visit his old buddy Bozo Frosty to "borrow" some bucks.

I´m not sure if Bozo will be happy about this, to be honest I doubt it. ;)

I can't stop drawing trees. Help.

BTW, Diamine Marine is an awesome ink. It makes my Noodler's Eel Turquoise look bland.

I also find the HP laser 32# to be less than I hoped based on reviews. ... But it does have a nice crinkle sound when you ball it up and toss it in the can.

Amberleadavis - I'm on my way to play with the inks on your ink altar, I believe I could sway you to vintage or antique pens.
