Yes it is quite a pale blue & looks washed out fresh on the paper. I'm sure it will fade over time. But it was the only suitable cartridge I had to hand, until I get a new converter.

It's a great pen - I love the design. Reminds me of Concorde :)

Admire the creativity. Impressive.

If you like the ink-spray-thing and other general creativity, (although not really fountain-pen related...), you should take a look at the stuff my better half makes :) http://assicrafts.blogspot.nl

Be prepared for some really bright colours :)

So, as nobody seems to volunteer to continue the Bird War story, I prepared something.

This time it took a while because it was a bit more effort than normal.

The crew of the Eagle 1 discovers the surrounding where they stranded in Middle Earth.

And they discovered something.....

(Serwex MB - flex EMF ..... ESS Registrars Blue/Black)

Something archaic, dark and very evil.....

I hope our friends recognize the danger of the black evil magic this artifact is emitting before it´s too late......

Used tools:

Title: Sauron´s Helmet

Paper: Clairefontaine Dessin A3 180 g/m2

Effort: About 5 hours

Hey Attila,

you are the root cause why they are now in Middle Earth.

I think the sword is gleaming for a special reason......

It would would be great if we will see a Orc raid from you ;)

Hey Irrigger,

we still not know how the story continued with Bilbo´s joke with the "Ring of Power" Dodo got.

Hey Amber,

what about you?

I´m sure you can imagine some Middle Earth creatures to interact (maybe help) with the stranded Eagle1 crew

I´m also miss Inky´s comments, I cannot imagine that he has no knowledge what happens in Middle Earth.....

Something new about the extraction of the story related stuff?

Hey Coop,

what about Krullevaar?

When will he join?

Your wife´s blog is great.

Hey Tringle,

did the Zeppelin crew already spotted something, maybe the interdimensional gate to Middle Earth?

Kalem, Tas, Finalist, Prvt Toter, ...... what about you? Come join the story!

@All

Please don´t be shy, everybody is welcome to continue......

I´m very keen to see what happens next.

My quest for good paper led me to the depths of my university and into the print shop.

There, I found paper equivalent to Rhodia in every single way... And then I got 160 sheets for 6 bucks.

Ink looks very nice on good paper.

Ptero:

I have to ask - what are the two mechanical pencil looking items on the right? How do you use the graphite powder? Can a dark, evil helmet radiate it's venom all the way from Austria to Minnesota? Oh, that's right, it's from Mordor, of course it can!

I love how you list your eraser as an artistic tool - that's an endearing touch!

Thanks Coop . Visited the site. Your wife's drawings are very nice. Mostly pencil / crayon I think. I am not an artist, but I am a true art lover, there is a flair of art with my other family members. With respect, I wish to comment that both of you are talented, and better half is better! .

Ptero : Very impressive pencil art indeed. I think all will like the ' evil black magic mask " and forget its evil power / vodoo ! Besides your incredible handwriting, greatly admire your pencil sketching too. Do you also use other mediums for the sketches to show 'contrast' ? I observe the white lines / ridges in the mask contrast so neatly and nicely against the 'rubbing' ! Great work.

I used just about every pen in my collection on these doodles. I layered color on top of color and let some dry while other inks bleed.

Eventually I'm going to add some text to the white space not shown in these pics... probably Mother's day cards or something.

I used a Niji water brush to pull some color to the left on this one. I like that it highlights the main color used in that section. I'm not sure if I'm going to do that to the other two trees or not.

I love where the thread is going.

Finalist, I LOVE the trees! If you ever want to transplant them to Nevada, let me know.
