Vintage certainly is my favorite.....

Eduardo - Nice pen, I really enjoy seeing people use vintage and antique fountain pens. Recycling!

Today, tringle, I have no pens in current production. My newest pens, are from eighties...

Look at my horse, my horse is amazing!!!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Uncle Red, I've been searching for a 45 that I like and am able to purchase. To my novice eye, the line from your very nice 45 looks thinner than I would expect from a broad nib. Do you have any thoughts about that? Thanks.

The pen stand is actually the reason I bought the Le Tigre, had to have a Le Tigre to put in it, didn't feel right to put another pen in there.

As for the story with the ink :

Earlier this year I decided to name my pens after a very close friend of mine came up with the idea ( mockingly or not, it sounded like fun ).

So the Le Tigre is named after said friend because of the similarities between the two of them : the Le Tigre was bought NOS , she's a couple of years my junior but mentally exceeds most people that I know ( across the whole age spectrum ). So they are both young on the outside, old on the inside.

( And it fits quite well with her name, it never gets old saying "Let me get Tibby Le Tigre" )

Of course she asked how my pens were called and I told her that the Le Tigre was the only one that had a name, followed by the above explanation and that the pen would also be the only named pen.

And now it gets silly, fast forward a couple of months : I bought the Iroshizuku ink on the same day I met up with her for some coffee, she asked what I had bought at the local pen shop and I showed her the bottle.

She noticed the Japanse writing on the bottle and a eco-rant ensued, cursing the Japanese and Chinese for the pollution they caused. ( and mankind in general ).

She is a bit of an eco-warrior, so I promised the ink from the "cursed" Japanese would never find its way into the pen bearing her name, which she appreciated.

The promises we make, some are just a little more silly than others

.

Hello again.....

That is a very handsome Sheaffer - solid, simple, yet distinctive.

And speaking of distinctive and handsome ... I greatly admire your handrwriting.

Sharmad :

What a beautiful penmanship ! Artistic Elegant Enchanting ... what more 'grace' can I make in praise of thee !!!!

dcpritch : Your 14 BB Sonnecken is simple and nice. I am sure it stands strong against your enviable collection of the Duofolds ( particularly the Jade green ).

Your handwriting is a class in itself : smart style and confidence : I see all in your handwriting. I admire.

I bought one of the mega balls, I've never been happy with it. The shiny one on the bottom is quite pretty.

Hi Amber ! I agree. I too am unhappy with the mega balls on steroid with its fake performance ! One day I shall drop it before the left rear wheel of my car, pretend innocence, and drive back n forth back n forth ( no ecstacy ok ! ). it rightfully deserves a victory dance over fallen bodies :lticaptd:

I think Short Pen Day ( thanks to dcpritch for the novelty ) extends on public demand , and covers bps too.
