Amber, you are correct. Takes a lot of work to reply in analog. Can you imagine how many pads Uncle Red has probably filled up????? *gasp*

The Jinhao 159 is surprisingly awesome. I love the size, weight and nib. It responds to pressure with a wetter, fatter line. Not like a flex pen, but in a felt marker way. The ink is a mix of Noodler's Eel Turquoise with a few drops of Black Quink. The custom Falcon has Iroshizuku Tsukiyo.

I purchased my first FP in early January. Here's where I stand now...

I've learned:

Iroshizuki ink is all that the hype says it is.

Sunshine cloths are awesome.

Fabriano paper and Strathmore Bristol Board are my favorite. Not as smooth as Leuchturm1917, but they allow for thinner lines on light strokes.

HP premium laser is OK, but it doesn't work well with wet flex pens.

...I've spent waaaaay too much money on pens, ink, cases, paper in 5 months... around $700? That's crazy. I'm done.

The Karas Ink with some sort of Italic or stub nib is next on my list. ...if they ever release them. Then I'm really done. The wait is killing me.

My office for about two years was literally a closet so somewhere in my sayings is how geeks do IT in the closet, and I bet Uncle Red is proud of any geekiness.

Finalist, I think we are ruining you...but in a nice way. The pen case is a great accessory.

My Wahl Gold Seal came today. Writes great, but it's much lighter than I was expecting. Overall, I'm happy. However, I'm still not sure about the Sailor Apricot ink. Seems too light for my liking.

Here are my prized possessions: MB 146 sterling pinstripe, bought new 1998, with Iroshizuku Kon Peki and Yeats; Montegrappa Oceanic, bought as new old stock 2014, with Iroshizuku Shin Kai and Shelley.

Attika89,

I keep an A5 size Fabriano notebook in the Penvelope, a few pieces of A5 Bristol board, and a little chunk of paper towel. I also clip pens to the outside of slots and it all closes very well.

Niagra : Beautiful Duofold. Its a looker.

Tringle : The MB trio catches attention. M in Black :)

Attica : Nice collection of pens. The MBs as usual seem to be trying to nudge the Pelican, its eternal rival. Nice writing.

Hi Craig, Thanks!

I like the Onyx, but in this Rotring 600 it doesn't behave that good...it won't start even after 10secs...the only ink worked properly in it was the J.Herbin Perle Noire though, so its more likely the pen.
I was lucky to have great deals on the Rotrings. The prices are crazy these days...

Today was the very day, when my inks broke out of their dark and miserable drawer:

6 Penmans are still in the box though...
