Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Thought I would try a little online April Fools Day joke....its better in person.

I recently purchased a couple Fabriano notebooks. they have dots no lines. Nice paper and I am seeing how well they do for me at work.

Have a great day!

Oh, they want us to believe it's HOT and COOL, but it's neither. Luke Warm at best.

Sorry for the lousy picture. Here is the final post on catching up. The photo of the pens. BTW, Uncle Red, I did see that you finally used up all the ink and had to refill. The Oxblood looks good.

What I explained was some pattern I came up with on graph paper and colored in gray and green on the zentangle, not "betweed"; betweed is the stuff in the diagonal band, which is me following along with a youtube demo. The zentangle people are very protective of their jargon and names and trademarks and patterns and stuff, so I wouldn't want you to get confused.

(Pelikan 140 - OF ..... Rohrer & Klingner Blu Mare)

https://www.stabilo.com/com/p/stabilo-carbothello

Stabilo is not a typical art supply company, most of their stuff are office or school products (made in Germany).

But the chalk-pastell pencils are made in the Czech Republic in Krumlov (on the border to Austria), it is an old town (belonged also very long to Austria in the old times) with a very long artist supply tradition (many local companies which made top notch products).

When Czechoslovakia still belonged to the Eastern Block trips to Krumlov (in German Krumau) were very popuplar in Austria because of 2 things:

Hand blown and grinded crystal glass and artist supplies.

Both were incredible cheap 20 - 25 years ago (but this changed quite fast with the time after the Eastern Block collapsed and the borders were open).

Btw. Blu Mare is one of my favorite inks (general speaking not only compared to other R&K inks)

My favourite Soyuz, are the two accordion fillers (fifties). The 1960 one, is a great pen, but the original nib was destroyed and I change by a Parker 51 nib (fits perfectly)...

An eye for insignificant details is a good sign you will do just fine in medical school...

As a sharp wit and powerful sarcasm is a sign that you already have.

amberleadavis: I like the Oxford Activbook a lot. The paper is perfect for fountain pens. It is white and not cream, smooth but not glossy, the lines are narrow 6 mm and the margins are good when I use one at work. The only minus is that the cover is larger than the paper which is A4. It is not the same paper as in the office books. Their paper is slightly more glossy.

It is more fun having many pens inked at the same time :)
