As I ponder what pen to ink, I begin to wonder how it all got so out of hand.....

Once I figure out what to ink, I will post something handwritten as this post is a bit out of sync without INK!

those are a lot of pens to sort out, i would gladly take some of your hand if its getting out of Hand...... :)

Love that pen design! I've seen this one on Ebay, but thought it might be a little "gawdy"....until I saw these close pics of it. :)

Ooh Shiny.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

My Rhodia Webbie in its Greenroom136 'Scribblebook Journal' notebook cover. With on top all of my pens.

From top to bottom:

Waterman Graduate

Prize pen from Hell

Local department store (Hema) cheapie

Hero 529

Hero 382

Jinhao X750

Hero 6081

It's not much, but it's a start. And the bunch of chinese cheapies gave me a pretty good insight in what characteristics to look for when buying something better :)

... Never underestimate the power of human stupidity ...

I am also using my Nakaya Naka-ai in Shu today, but I've posted about that pen recently.

Lovely nibs and pens David. What ink are you using in the OMAS?

Thanks, da Vinci!

The ink is OMAS green. It's a nice green, I think. Similar to J. Herbin's Lierre Sauvage, to my eye.

Uncle Red:

Al Sport is currently at the bottom of my pocket with keys, coins, guitar picks, pocket knife and other stuff getting his knicks and scuffs. We'll see how he holds up after a few weeks of this abuse.

That's what I like most about my Ice Sport. I can throw it into my pocket and not have to worry much about it. It is already showing some very light scratches. But those seem to be more from posting it so much to initial papers all the time. :)

The Pelikan nib looks really cool in that photo. As does your penmanship!

Here is what the AlSport looks like after a couple years of front pocket carry...

the black anozizing is wearing off the sharp edges, but just getting character... this pen I keep full of RED ink and use to mark up prints... my engineers laugh because I always have it with me... GRIN... always ready to redline their drawings... LOL

Uncle Red, here are the two you ask about from my prior post... they are Morton pens, Morton held the patent for this and it later was made and marketed by Morrison Pen company as the Duet.... Morrison was of slightly better materials, this is metal, whereas the Morrison version was silver... either way, these have great nibs and the pencil is a gem as well. I actually use this in rotation as I really like the pencil.
